The aviation community has taken a hit with the passing of a Boeing great..

Joe Sutter, the father of the 747 has passed.

The 747 revolutionized how we did transcontinental air travel. It's one thing to see them in a book but it's another one to be up close to one. I've only had the chance to see them passing the airport and I wish I had the opportunity to board one.

Watching one both land and take off from TNCM (Princess Juliana) is quite the experience.

Correlation doesn't imply causation, but it does waggle its eyebrows suggestively and gesture furtively while mouthing 'look over there'. - xkcd.com

John Winterton, better known to us as A Nonny Moose, passed away on September 28th. I can't articulate the words necessary to describe his importance to this forum. All I can say is, we will all miss him very much.

Jack Chick, controversial publisher of Christian comic tracts, dies at 92.

Marketed and sold in bulk quantities for distribution by fundamentalist churches, Chick tracts promoted a whole host of conspiracies and groups (including Roman Catholics, Muslims, Freemasons, gays, Wiccans, pagans, and Jehovah's Witnesses) as doomed to eternal damnation.  Perhaps the best known of these tracts, Dark Dungeons preaches against the dangers of roleplaying games, saying they open the door to occult practices, witchcraft, and teen suicide.  Not surprisingly, groups such as the Southern Poverty Law Center have designated Chick Publications as a hate group.

Bob Hoover has passed at 94

He was Chuck Yeager's shadow when he broke the sound barrier, became a legend of WWII by stealing an axis aircraft to escape imprisonment, and even helped guide a stricken airshow performer to safety from the ground. Another great of aviation this year..

Oh, come on! John Glenn too? This is ridiculous. So many people. So many nice people has been passing away all this year. This is heartbreaking :(

@Easy Bakes: You mean "1st American to orbit the Earth". The 1st man was the Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin.

"If you try to please everybody, you often times end up pleasing nobody, especially yourself. When somebody offers to do a favor for free, like making a mod for SimCity 4, you shouldn't be overly critical of something generously given to you. In other words, you shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth." - Twilight Sparkle after playing SimCity

"Being a mayor or a content creator for SimCity 4 is a heavy responsibility, Patrick. Each city and each custom content is like a child, and must be treated as such." - SpongeBob Squarepants after playing SimCity

"Without deviation from the norm, progress is not possible." - Frank Zappa

"The wisest men follow their own direction." - Euripides

Dear sir/madam/whoever will read this!

This profile is now defunct.

Computer problems and issues with accessing my Imageshack account meant My SC4 CJ Scrapbook was lost and utterly irretrievable. This setback put me off SC4 for many months.

Apologies for the inconvenience and for the lost pictures.

But that SC4 itch did not go away and it had to be scratched! I have started afresh with a new account here- The British Sausage

With this update this will be the last time I visit my original Simtropolis account- admin/mods feel free to remove it or do whatever you need to do. I have no further use for the Ln X (BLANKBLANK) account.
