Illustrator and comic artist Bernie Wrightson dead at 68.

Wrightson had worked on numerous film and comic projects, including an illustrated version of the classic Gothic novel Frankenstein, as well as co-creating and penciling for the DC title Swamp Thing.

Best known for directing The Silence of the Lambs, for which he won an Academy Award in 1991.

Soundgarden front man Chris Cornell, has passed at 52.

I remember first hearing one of his songs in a PS2 game. Then I looked for more from the band through high school.

Jacque Fresco, the founder of The Venus Project, a strong advocate of a Resource Based Economy, and one of the most inspiring persons in our days, died peacefully on the morning of May 18, at 101 years of age. The death of Stephen Hawking affected me more than I expected. I've never really been upset by the death of a public figure, but now I know what it feels like. Definitely one of the greatest minds in history.

Tomasz Stanko, polands famous trumpet player dies at the age of 76.

From his music I took so much inspiration- Like those embracements after a long travel you get from your car, your back aches, you're a littel stiff, but the grandchilds and your daughter come out of the house and all want to to hug you at the same time ... and suddenly the aching falls apart and you feel fresh an young ...

... like this was is the music of Tomasz Stanko perhaps to me. The kind of drink that satisfies the thirst of my soul.
