Note:  I got a little bored and decided to map the entire known Mass Effect Galaxy (with additions of my own clusters in ME:TMW). Realistically, there would actually be plenty of other missing clusters, these just happen to be the mentioned star clusters and the relay access points and routes between each relay in each cluster. It's also hinting on future ME:TMW updates, if you know which clusters exist in the game, and which don't (or are left unmentioned )

Note: This isn't actually the 100,000 episode special. It's taking a lot longer than anticipated to make what with the extra BATing and me running out of bldg designs that are within reach...so I finally took it upon myself to finish a tedious, back breaking venture into Lot Editor to finish an episode I should've posted a long time ago. So without further adieu, here's a special intermission episode that isn't really that much of an intermission.

Almost a week after the loss of the Normandy SR1 over the Alchera system, a private memorial service is held by the Alliance in dedication to the SSV Normandy's captaing and commanding officer, John A. Shepard. The loss of humanity's first Spectre shocks humans across the galaxy in an event that is embedded in history. News and media outlets begin following the funeral procession and transportation closely. However, with parts of the city of Vancouver shut down for the event, highways, roadways and airspace are cleared of civilian traffic as a hearse accompanied by the Vancouver Metro Police, make their way toward the city's Alliance War Memorial.

Shepard's closest friends, relations, surviving crewmates and fellow soldiers are among those permitted to attend the service. And as the weather begins to turn, the depressive atmosphere only deepens.

The procession makes its way towards the memorial, with the salvaged remains of John Shepard.

The Service begins. Along with other high-ranking officers, most notable are the presence of decorated alliance admirals, Steven Hackett and David Anderson. Along the front seats, are Shepard's closely aquainted crewmates, Liara T'soni, Garrus Vakarian, Tali'Zorah Nar Rayya vas Neema and Urdnot Wrex; along with Engineering Officer, Greg Adams and Medical Officer, Karen Chakwas.

Standing over John's coffin holding only salvaged remains, are two other closely acquainted crewmates, Lt. Kaidan Alenko and SR1 Pilot, Jeff Moreau.

Note: Wow. This took a while (a month and a half). And I didn't get as sidetracked as i thought. 8 buildings and several models later, I managed to replicate a scene from ME3's intro mission.

Unfortunately, I only have a long mosaic and one ordinary resolution picture. Because an ME:TMW entry is never a good entry without a mosaic to top it off

 

This is the official 100,000 view special episode. The content I made with it will come gradually as I try to finish them. I might even throw in the SR1 or SR2 as downloadable on the STEX

 

I hope you enjoy it, added some of the dialog for immersion.

LOCATION INFORMATION:

 

 

 

Despite the Alliance's best efforts, the Reapers cut through the defense fleets that kept watch over it's airspace. With no fleet above Earth to defend it, the Reapers began landing quickly across the planet's continents, striking heavily on every major city. The Earth was rapidly besieged, and no country was left untouched as they continued to land. The city of Vancouver, home to the North American headquaters of the Systems Alliance, Admiral David Anderson and Commander John Shepard began making their way to evade the devastation that unfolded in front of them. Buildings turned to twisted metal and civilians rounded up and slaughtered like pigs, as the ships mercilessly tore through the urban streets.

 

They headed toward Vancouver harbor, attempting to make a rendezvous with the Normandy to flee the city and gain help for the war on Earth.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

As the Normandy lifted off, it left the burning scars of Vancouver, as the Reapers consumed the city.

Absolutely cracking updates! This is one of my favourite CJ's, I'm a total slave to sci-fi so this CJ is just perfect for me. That's not to mention the superb amount of custom content and creative image editing. Excellent work!

That has to be one of the most stunning mosaics I've ever seen - there's so many little details to study in it!

 

I've always admired your photoshop skills; I actually have two minor (I hope) questions about it...

• How do you create colorized light glare in your images? For example, all of the ships' thrusters give a off a blue/red glare. I've never been able to figure out how to do that; I've only been able to make straight-up white glares (which are admittedly not super useful for the most part).
• I'm also curious as to how you produce such believable smoke effects. On the rare occasion where I've dabbled in the art of smoke-making, the result always comes off as very flat and very photoshopped looking.

I guess if you have the time, could you explain these two techniques?

Note: So I've been out of action for a while, but I'm just here to stop by with a small teaser for a small update. Hope you're enticed cause I can't update as much as I'd want to lately (at least for the next 6 or so weeks all the way until June/July after my mid-years )

 

And looks like I lied again, E#71's gonna look like the one below, the previous one will be specially held as a signalling that the CJ is coming to an end. There will be two updates you see that signals ME:TMWs end. (Just worth noting I guess, and it doesn't mean I'm ending it now -- just note worthy )
