I know that NAM monorail puzzle pieces over paved ground have already been requested. However, I was wondering: are the monorail pylons (columns) are a single model, just copied to all the track, or are the pylons part of the track. If they are only one model, can this model be made narrower? The monorail column tapers out to fill almost the entire tile, which isn't very realistic. They should only be 1.5 to a maximum of 2.5 meters wide. Here are a few pictures of realistic (narrow) monorail pylons from the Kuala Lumpur monorail:

I would do this myself, except that when I tried to register my copy of SC4 Deluxe with simcity.com, it says that it was invalid, even when I had a third person verify that I had typed it in right. TechSupport has yet to really help me. 30.gif I think that I may just buy Rush Hour to be able to register that code so I can download BAT and Lot Editor to be able to do this stuff.

I would like to see a mod that gives you the ability to plop trees, maxis ones preferably, onto sidewalks. i know about the mod that grows trees next to the road and streets, but i think it'll be cool for everyone if you can plop them anywhere you want, to beautify main avenues and downtown commercial districts, etc.44.gif44.gif

Well, I see.  It's a good request, but while waiting that someone will make it, you should add the flags  on a building plaza or a park that you want with Lot editor.  Like I did.19.gif

I have a request, i guess there is a lot of work, but, could someone replace ingame pink high wealth texture by this one:

Like the mod that replaces the dirt texture with the grass.

I just don't like this ugly pink texture, so this one could look great with highwealth areas, i think 21.gif

Ok, here's a request: mixed species god-mode trees that change colors with the seasons.  The Columbus Trees mod is excellent, but the deciduous trees don't change color.  PEG's Seasonal Woods are also excellent, but can't be used in God Mode.  From what little I know about modding (and it is very little indeed), the task of creating seasonal god mode trees seems very complex and daunting, but it seems to me it could be done. 
 
It would be wonderful to terraform new regions from scratch and be able to populate higher elevations with coniferous trees, middle elevations with a mix of seasonal deciduous and coniferous tress, and lower elevations with totally deciduous seasonal trees.

Plopable God Mode Props

I would like to see plopable industrial props such as crates, garbage piles, cars, trucks, wood stacks, barrells,... you name it. I find industrial area need alot of additional items to look real. And to give it a very custom look without having 40,000 lots this is the idea. It could be applied to park props and much more aswell.

Someone please give this a try. Its possible and will take SC to teh next level. Who ever begins doing this will have a crazy amount of downloads on there work.

How about replacing the minor league stadium with ...lets say an athletics stadium and then replace the Major league stadium with a large football stadium(soccer). We Brits just don,t get Baseball40.gif

just get a football stadium on the stex and ignore the major league stadium..

How about a mod that removes all pop up msesages in game, such as stuff telling me that im like a king, theres a strike, ect. All but rewards would be good. Becuase whenever i get into my city i have to click 5+ messages out, and it gets annoying..


I do have one now that weeds some out, but not most..

Darker nights please!!!

BATs with custom nightlightning can be really spectacular and each one I create get special attention on that point. In the rendering process, it's possible to see the building without that game nightlight and it is breathtaking when the design is good.

However, the game always add a minimum level of light that reduces the effect. Well, that minimum level facilitate gameplay but I think that it should be reduced by 33-50%. It should be possible to see what we're doing and have an even more spectacular city at night.

I'm wondering if a MOD can be done for that. Thanks.

hey, is there a mod that makes snow at hagh places? if there is, direct me to the exact page that it is on, and if not, please make one. All the maps that I downloaded seemed to have something of this kind.

Neigbor deals!
 
I feel that this is rediculus, where I pay so much to get rid of the garbage, and the adjacent city which I import from, gives me only a few pennies for it.
Can someone create a mod that will make my neighbors pay at least the amount I pay for it?
 
I have dirty industrial towns, that don't mind the pollution, therefore, I use them for garbage disposal as well, but they can't keep up with the low payment they receive.
 
Can anyone help? please?

Is it possible to have the building stage shown in the query box? I know CSX(?) did a mod that shows various city/region stats, but so many of us wonder what stage our buildings are at and have no clue. Esp. when Maxis uses the same buildings for different stages.

[Or is there another way to determine this?]

Help wanted or if possible a custom lot.

 
What I need is this: A (plopable) lot that increases the crimerate in an area. Nothing fancy, just a park, liqour store, armsdealer or something similar. Something that blends in nicely in a residential (innercity) area.
 
I've downloaded BAT, GenDat, Plug-In manager and other programs trying to do this myself but... I suck! 2.gif
I'm clueless when it comes to editing crimeeffect or making custom lots 42.gif46.gif42.gif
If someone could help me out with simple step-by-step guide on how to add crimeeffect as a property to a lot, please do...
 
Please, please, please someone help me out... I really need this for the CJ I'm currently planning.
 
Pay no attention to any mispelling or grammatical errors... I'm swedish and english is then obviously not my first language.

I originally posted this thread in the BAT open discussion forum, but no one replied so i thought maybe it was a Modding issue (I don't know, which is why I'm asking).
 
I wanted to ask the experienced Modders whether Highway Exit/Entrance Jigsaw Pieces were possible. I'm sure in the past I have seen some pretty good custom Highway junctions that are not available on the NAM, but it could be my memory playing tricks on me.
 
I've only just got the BAT and I'm still in the early learning process so anything like this is WAY beyond me.
 
In reality highway junctions often form when an additional lane splits off from the main highway and an exit lane then travels off to the junction with the road (see pic below).

I think the equivalent kind of highway piece in the game would look something like this (apologies for the crudeness of my drawing):

I would also then think that the continuing slip road would be similar to the end pieces t-intersection and straight that we see for slopes in the NAM.  Again apologies for my crude interpretation:

Now I also figure that this may cause a problem as road pieces are single tile pieces and therefore the addition of the filter lane will mean extending to a 1x2 piece and I'm not sure if that is possible.
 
Anyway, you people will know the answer to this rather than me, which is why I ask. If it is possible, it would give an enormous amount of variation to junctions which we don't have at present.

Is it possible to remove the transperancy from the ingame water? I think the way the water looks offers a lot to be desired, and instead of dealing with said problems want a flat look to the water. Something like below, but in the in game water. I have no idea where to begin, nor what files to change, but I figure it can't be too hard, right?

Yes, this is not the in game water, but this is what I would like the ingame water to look like, especially as it goes towards the coast.

Hello Mayors;

I have a question concerning Snow in SC4. Has anyone other then me requested a modd for snow in
the God Mode part of the game? Where you can have it snow on your city or have a blizzard, ice storm,
windstorm etc...? Just Curious. If not, I will now make that request of a Gode Mode Storm Option?

Hello, after asking around for a mod that plants coniferious only trees in god mode as you use the plant forest tool and only finding a PEG version which i personally don't like I was wondering if you could make a mod that lets you do this at sea level and not high in the cliffs like maxis's default - oak ->pine ->shrub. I'd like pine ->pine->pine.

I would like something like a highway except when you lay it down the no road sign will not come up and it can have stop lights. Also I would like for it to be ashphalt if possible.

Hi guys, been using the stex for awhile now and I REALLY NEED a mod or lot. I need a pedestrian walk under mono and elevated rails. I'd like it to be the game texture with the light pole but without the pole of course 1.gif

This would really help me and I'm sure 100's of other players greatly.

Hello Modsquad,

I'm making a slopy farm country, like in the Ardennes in Belgium.
I'm trying to make some props orient to the slope of the ground.
Some props have a property orient to slope which can be turned on (for ex: El Nomade Farm Pack 1), but others lack this property (for ex: Simgoobers fields in SG_FarmFields.Dat).
I'm using SC4Tool.
Tried to copy-paste the property from one file to another but that doesn't work.
Any suggestions on how to get this property in all my farm props?

There are ped mall under elevated rail puzzle pieces in the latest copy of the NAM. I submitted the one that looks like the center pole ped mall tile. There aren't any for going under monorail yet. I'm currently busy with BSC stuff, so I can't work on any NAM stuff for awhile...
