Some city plots you just can't place tunnels btw like clearwater the water level is too close to the terrain levels to create proper tunnels. You can test this if you have BOC and use the water roads which draw the waters on the water terrain; the roads are drawn almost at normal soil level.

omg finally lol i had sctweek r6 before changed to sctweek r4 works 

but weird thing i tried sctweek r1 ages a go and that didnt work either 

 

owell im happy i just need to know how to make higher elevated roads they are to low also i have to alt tab out to change road type owell  

 

also is there a way to make a river?

Anytime, and no currently no real way to make a river though I think I may have a way to create a fake river will have to research sometime next week

Not outside the box :( the roads dont seem to connect the last i tried though I may have used too large of a difference between the values. its a little trickier too cause the values are kind of opposite, tunnel inside the box is elevated outside

so i downloaded street for bus 1.5 still no luck al it did was downgrade graphic to a dirt road  but cars still cross it

    Please note that building tunnels does not work on the edges of the map, this is a limitation of the current approach of this mod.

    I am currently looking in to a different approach of the bridge mod in SCTweak. During my research I was able to draw rivers at some point, by changing the world offsets instead of the view cam. To be continued...

    It is in the patchnotes for future patches at the SimCity community forum that there will be a tool for overpasses/tunnels built-in. How do you foresee this development affecting your tool? Will you retire it, or will look for extra features to provide for stuff the official tools still do not do?

    What pisses me off is you guys, the modders, spent hours trying to make this overpass/tunnel thing work and then the people at maxis immediately announce an update including this. Its ridiculous why dont they just open the game up and let the modders take control. Damn just imagine they let you guys make a NAM for this game I would pay $80 for that! Not that crap they released. If anyone will save this game it will be you guys and hopefully you will have a free reign over the game soon enough.

    Looking at that youtube clip, I think SCTweak is still better at making bridges (tunnels not so much). Com'on Maxis/EA you can do better!

    Without a doubt sctweak is nicer. The fact that you can have segments of overpasses and bulldoze bits of them makes it so much better. Kinda sucks that maxis went the route where it converts the entire elevated segment to one piece

    But they have guides and snap goodness, which SCTweak currently lacks. The tool works with railroads too. It allows for several height increments above and below ground, which on a plain terrain with enough elevation above water level allows for two stacked tunnels, a ground level road and two stacked overpasses. So I guess it has something over SCTweak currently, in all fairness each tool has a different set of advantages, it's a tradeoff. 

     

    What I would really like is to have independent height controls for the beginning and end of the road, instead of creating a road in an elevated plane parallel to the ground.

    The update was inspired by SCTweak. While I'm sure SCTweak worked for some, I found it a bit difficult to get roads I desired. The official tool seems to be more user-friendly. Perhaps my knowledge of SCTweak is limited, but I find the new tool to be a better experience. I think it's outstanding that the users have had such an impact, that it has shaped the roadmap of the official game.

    because SCTweak is more better than the EA new road tool

    more better.....

     

    idk i ALWAYS had issues with tunnels with SCTweaker

    I really miss SCTweak. The results were far superior, there were more possibilities and the results were much nicer. Is there a way to get SCTweak working again? :) trgs are you alive? Someone got the knowledge to continue the work?

    As well you could make smooth elevated s-curves (you can with the curvy road tool, but the results are not smooth angled curves.) or straight overpasses ending in a sloped curve.
