Give him at least a few days to update it, patch 5.0 was just released yesterday...Rome wasn't built in a day, having said that i'm also looking forward to using my favorite mod again.

Does it work with new update of simcity 5.0. Cause I was trying it right now and the heights didn't adjust for the roads.

I'm trying the tool, and found (on my very flat sea level map) that drawing roads while holding shift doesn't really work. Is that a known issue?

Otherwise thanks a lot, I'm looking forward to creating my street layout with it! :)

I believe he knows about that. There's a lot of stuff that "doesn't work" about SCTweak, but those things are mostly outside of the scope of what SCTweak does/edits. We just need to be creative, diligent in working around SC's many faults! :-D Good luck tho!!!

EDIT: oh, and THANKS TRGS FOR THE UPDATE! I mean it, i had stopped playing Simcity since 5.0 because I couldn't get over how difficult it was to play now that i was used to using SCTweak!

I have updated the link to that of this post, but I cannot keep the change log up to date since I must keep my focus on the next mods I want to write about. Thank you.

Would it be possible to get some guidance on using custom values???

Hey Prometheus, what would you like to know? I've fiddled around with SCTweak constantly?

What each of the three values represent would be a great start.

What I'd like to create is a higher elevated roadway that can then have tunnels go under it smoothly on terrain at sea level.

    Thanks :)

Ok tried to create an underpass underneath my entry road. Now the entry road is in a 45 degree angle upwards and I can't connect anything to it anymore :P. Tool works ok on other segments, just not the entry roads i guess.

Can someone perhaps help me, is there any way to fix it?

    Edit\ A small illustration :(

@elmex, download this and put it in C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\SimCity\SimCityUserData\Packages\ , go to your city and it should be bulldozable, if not try restarting simcity and joining again. If that doesn't work pm me theres another way.

If the above works, you can delete the file after you have deleted the road. Becareful as this makes more than just the avenue stub breakable so do be wary bulldozing.

I had some trouble trying to lay down overpasses. it was a heavy street overpass above an avenue near sea level.  The tool mostly works, but if the ground is not very flat it seems to give lots of 'red unable to lay down road' events, and it is necessary to hunt for a valid street layout.

Is there anything which can be done about it, are you exploring the possibility of improving it?

And thanks for the awesome tool!

    R6 released!

    - Tuned some road types (better tunnel + improved overlaps)

    - Added speed mod (for my own convenience)

    - Added hotkey support

I picked this one up and tried it last night. It works well. It takes some tuning but it works. Is there a way to get it to work with the guides? I noticed it snaps, but I don't see the guide when I use SCTweak. Is this normal?

    Trust Christ.

    A couple issues:

    1) On plain, close to sea-level terrains, I cannot place a completely underground tunnel to connect parts of the city. The white-gray concrete stays protruding out of the ground, which is unsightly.

Will you tweak the values so that the tunnel stays complete underground on horizontal areas?

Or can you help me with custom values which make it completely underground?

    2) The tool does not like to place elevated or underground roads if there is already a road network layed down. I must bulldoze pieces of road to lay out the overpasses and tunnels and re-build them, otherwise the game engine seems to attempt to dig to sea-bottom and gives a 'road too steep' red warning, unable to build the roads.

Is it possible/do you plan to look into this to make overpass/tunnel laying easier?

    As always, thank you.

Try following the instructions from my original post. Tested on Win7 here and it's working like a charm.

Or can you help me with custom values which make it completely underground?

Try modifying the values used for the tunnel (you cannot break anything by doing this). I've tested a lot with the current settings and in most cases these were working the best for me. Let me know if you found some new improved values.

I must bulldoze pieces of road to lay out the overpasses and tunnels and re-build them, otherwise the game engine seems to attempt to dig to sea-bottom and gives a 'road too steep' red warning, unable to build the roads.

This is the restriction of the type of mod. If you read back a bit in this topic you will know why. In the end everything can be made, but in some cases this will require a bit of extra effort.
