Hi all modders :) 

I would like to mod but I own a mac so...........I know that request is kinda weird but I don't zone mid-wealth residential so I would like to ask if it is possible to set all mid-wealth jobs to 0 at all buildings (ploppables,C,I) :)

I am pretty sure you need workers for it, like how having educated and higher wealth workers are more profitable.

No workers, however, would bring like no profit and will have 0 efficiency..

Also, pretty unrealistic and stupid when no workers are commuting

 

Okay there are workers commuting LOW-wealth and HIGH-wealth, so there IS commuter traffic. I have many high-wealth people in city and some low-wealth. I think that you didn't notice that I just want to set all MID-WEALTH jobs to 0. My cities work without mid-wealth workers! It's just annoying that there are plenty of unfilled jobs for mid-wealth and I would like to split these MID-wealth jobs to low and high-wealth jobs :)

I would like to request a mod that removes the white-outline highlighting of anything and everything you mouse over. The pointer changes from an arrow to a strange horizontal oval with three dots - I have no idea what this might be btw - and that should be enough for most of the time.

 

The best solution, if it could be done, would be to have the white-outline highlighting switch on and offable from within the bulldozing tab, as it can be very handy when trying to delete redundant school bus stops. 

 

I hope some clever moder hates the white outline as much as I do.

ill second the omega to be avalible in boc but is it imposible to mod this game to have proper rendering outside of box or bigger boxes or more of them??

I am looking for a mod that changes the police helicopter into a black hawk or something like that. i would be really grateful if this can be done. and thanks for looking into it either way.

This may be too simplistic but Ive had enough Of the Repeated speech bubbles even after I've politely said no..I Enjoy using The speech bubs. cause they pay And guide us Noobes... Can someone maybe make it stop after you've declined for that city.I thimk once for each mission in each city is enough... I think this would help a great deal

There's always the option to turn them off in settings/gameplay just untick the box when you've had enough ain't really much use making a mod for something that you can do in like 5 seconds anyway or when just click no thanks instead of ask again later an it shouldn't even ask you again failing that accept the mission then instantly mouse over said mission and click the red ex then it definitely shouldn't come back if it ever did with the other options i suggested :)

Modders are doing awesome work so far. Certainly making the game more fullfilling.

 

I believe the basic police and fire stations are a bit gimmicky, would love to see a reskin of these.

 

And an end to proportional trading of surplus resources (ie.energy, water, sewage treatment, workers) - as in depending on how many claimed cities there are directly connected by regional highway, equals how much proportionally the city delivers to any one of those cities. I would just like to be able to chose how much of any surplus resource can be traded to an individual city, just like we can nominate how many surplus service vehichles can be sent to any individual city. It would be even better if there were basic contracts between the cities that arranged a price/unit and fine amounts so there was an incentive to always ensure reliable delivery of that resource. It is this proportional trading that ruins the regional gameplay for me as you can't just have a dedicated services city.

Im wondering if it is possible to make the selection box go away when I have a car or train slelected. I have been playing around with making videos lately and would like to follow some vehicles through the city but that dang box is in the way. Anyone know if this is possible? Thanks!

Hi People.

first of all thanks for the great work you have do,e till now!

Are you already working/ is it possible to have tram routes? So that we can decide which route a tram takes. And not ad random, where sometimes waiting time is five minutes and sometimes 90 minutes.

And if possible that we can earn some money back from public transport.

I know this is a bit out there, and don't know if it's entirely possible but i for one am tired of the cramped space in the cities, would it be at all possible to either allow building in the entire region in single-player, or at the least expand the boundaries of the cities to make them allot larger?

Ok, just to round it up, these are the three main things that people want to be added for SimCity:

 

 

1. Bigger Cities

 

2. One way streets

 

3. Better traffic

Ok so we can't make bigger maps, But what if we made smaller models? (i.e. mod all buildings/roads/etc. to be smaller) Thus it would do the same thing as bigger maps. If every road and building where say, half-sized, we could put twice as many in one city.

The only problem I can see is a massive amount of work modding everything but I thought I would toss the idea out there. :golly:

Any modders know if this is a possibility?

Yes yes, i am no modder, but (i think) to smaller all the game elements such as buildings, rci zones, roads and the highway entrance (you have then to smaller all highways) is a too big change and you would probably have to change the whole game engine. And everything. So, if your not a Maxis developer, then I think it's impossible. It'll be easier to change the border size then to change the whole game.

Just a question:

 

When the game was released, some guys found the way to activate debug mode, until Maxis disabled it when they released v2.0.

As we can play offline since the v10, is there someone who tries to re-activate the debug mode?

If this can happen, we could have access to FOREST editing tool, Regional highways (seen by all cities), resources, and... TERRAFORMING!

 

I don't think Maxis removed it simply from the game, but just "hide it".

 

What do you think about it?

I would love to see turning lanes, one way roads, separate zoning densities, bigger maps, highways, elevated rail, terraforming, emergency vehicles that don't stop for traffic and stop lights. Thank you modders for the great work you've put into this game to try to make it an actual City simulation game.

I would appreciate a mod that creates plopable cemeteries using the house of worship. The idea would be to create a cemetery that replaces a house of worship of one's choosing. The reason why I want this mod is for asthetic purposes.

Also, it would be great if mass transit could pay for itself, as another person previously suggested. Setup a mechanic that pays the treasury $1 per commuter.

It would also be great if the treasury could be paid $50 per criminal that is arrested, to act as fines, and $25 per person admitted to a hospital or clinic.

I'm not certain if these ideas to create additional revenue sources are even possible, but it would certainly add more realism to the game.

I would like to ask for a simple mod that fixes the current amount of Simoleons to 1.000.000+. What I would like is being able to play the game on normal mode, unlocking items one by one without having to wait for, and regulate the budget. :)

Another mod that I would like to ask for, is one that slows all road traffic, pedestrians, motorbikes, cars, trucks, buses, streetcars, trains, etc, to 3 times slower than the slowest speed. I would like traffic that drives as realistic as can be. :)

I may be wrong but thought right clicking off the box will work instead of left

Yeah, I agree. I think that vehicles drive WAY too fast. And plus, I'm not a modder, but I'm pretty sure that a mod like this wouldn't really be that hard to make.

There are two mods that do exactly what you are asking.

 

The Drones Galore Mod will add the drone hangars to the police station, fire house and clinic. The will do exactly what it says. I'll also send this to you in a private message.
