EA help chat is a joke

Been waiting for almost 2 hours on the EA help chat thing, was down to your approx wait time is 10-15 minutes and then it went up to 60 minutes again. What a joke. All I'm trying to do is get a partial refund since I have been able to play a total of about only 2 hours max in the last 48 hours, which to me is unacceptable for a new game. It was fun when I could actually play it but I think they should be issuing a patch so you don't have to have an interent connection to play the game.

Its usually automated messages anyway. Very robotic when they talk to you in chat. You get no where.

It is best not to bother after the wait you are told they can't refund you and are sent a phone number to call.

So you can be banned for disputing the refund process through EA?

Post that chat EVERYWHERE.

Honestly, I'm not going to lie, reading that chat moved me to uninstall Origin. I'm done.

Nothing would please me more than seeing all of EA's shareholders dropping their investments.

So basically the help chat is pointless, thanks for letting me know guys! I didn't wait the extra hour to hopefully get on. I have liked all the Sim Cities before this, but this one has seriously let me down. It is fun when I was able to get on, but if we can't even get after we have spent almost $90 on the game, then they should be offering every user at least a 25% refund. When will the companies learn that making a game online only is never the answer. And in this day and age they should have had enough servers, etc. to handle the loads.

If you threaten to use charge-back then yes they can ban you. Same goes for Steam. Both Terms of Service talk about in the case that someone forces charge-back trough their bank, the account will be banned.

Extremely ridiculous. I would try to get a refund but I didn't figure I would get it since it says I've played for 10 hrs, although I've really only been able to play for about an hour with several disconnects throughout. Gotta love how sitting at the in game menu counts as playing the game, I'm surprised they haven't started advertising saying that it's one the most played games!

After more in depth reading, the press release didn't lie, it says you can request a refund, it doesn't say anything about they will be giving them.

EXACT same thing happened to me when I used their chat. EA is ridiculous and they should be ashamed of the way they treat their community,

Now I can see why EA was voted the worst company in America, this is just ridiculous. The oncoming $%&^! storm approaches.
