  1. any successful origin refunds?

Ya, rather not go to that extreme, even though I have nothing on my origin account to lose, haven't liked EA since they started on line passes and the way they handled the past few days hasn't improved my image of them a bit.
  2. Nuclear Fallout in my City! Now what?

They probably used the same algorithm to determine the safety rating as they did for server requirements.
  3. I have the deluxe 3 week old preorder and think I am ready to try to get my money back and buy starcraft 2 instead and maybe re buy simcity in a couple months, anyone successfully done this yet? If so, how did you contact them?
  4. EA help chat is a joke

Extremely ridiculous. I would try to get a refund but I didn't figure I would get it since it says I've played for 10 hrs, although I've really only been able to play for about an hour with several disconnects throughout. Gotta love how sitting at the in game menu counts as playing the game, I'm surprised they haven't started advertising saying that it's one the most played games! After more in depth reading, the press release didn't lie, it says you can request a refund, it doesn't say anything about they will be giving them.
  5. Is worker commuting broken?

The sewage seems to be broke in my region, just started so both citys are tiny, but built 2 sewage plants in one, played in that town for around 30 minutes, switch to other and still no regional sewage available
  6. Question is, does it eat it, or just destroy it and turn it into ground pollution?
  7. The aliens were one of the major disappointing moments I had, I was expecting a big ufo that ray gun'd a building in half or something, instead it's a UFO about the size of a bus that destroys nothing (won't give any more info then that). Really laughed at myself on the letsallbemayor video when they called it, took them like 45 seconds to find it on the screen and then they were like WOW THAT'S AWESOME!! Instantly destroyed.......... any trust I had in them and that's it.
  8. Simquestration

I would probably shut off the casino or other building that's losing all the money.
  9. Well I wouldn't know since I've only gotten to play for about 30 minutes over the past 2 days, but I'm guessing it's a 1 time activity, and then random after that? Seems like with the achievement it probably unlocks the lizard, and uses it to show you what it does, then it just becomes another random disaster same as the others. I seen it once a little on one of the letsallbemayor videos and I thought it was cool. I was really disappointed with most of the other disasters so was actually happy to see that one does destroy some stuff, even if uncontrollable.
  10. Download time?

Sounds like they prioritized deluxe buyers LOL They are taking their sweet time with everyone else as well. I am a deluxe as well but not as lucky, so guess I missed out on my priority, also just past midnight here so didn't go by timezone, and pre-ordered a couple weeks ago so not going by that either...
  11. Sounds fun, the only problem I see is being able to mess with the resources could give a big advantage in the global market, maybe if you took away the global market but then you hinder the trade specialization.
  12. I have never heard of it before, but I'm betting that if sims 3 does it simcity will probably do it too. There is of course no official word at this time, but if it was me I would take that bet too, I don't have a mac though so I don't have to worry about it.
  13. Amazon selling download which is 3kb?

If you are on a budget, AMD is the only way to go to me, so much cheaper than intel and still great for the money, such as an 8 core, 4GHz AMD for under $200 while I7s can go for $300+ and are slower and less cores. Not sure where you search for parts, but if you are slowly gonna buy the parts, I find it best to keep an eye on tigerdirect.com and find when they have deals. Although if it's gonna take more than a couple months to get the entire build, it's probably best to save the money in a seperate bank account (easiest for me at least) because by the time you get the last piece the first part you bought is 3/4 of the price you paid.
  14. So for those of us that are friendless, do you plan on starting 1 city and building it up or multiple cities at once? I didn't get into the betas and they didn't have alot of region play in them anyways, so there may be some major issues with my plan, but I am planning on doing several cities at once. After watching the coal town on Letsallbemayor yesterday I definantly want to make a mining town, but there's so many big buildings needed for it there's not much area for residential, so was planning on making 1 town almost all residential just to provide sims to the other cities. Definantly not saying my way is the best or will even work, just wondering what other people playing solo are gonna try first?
