I don't feel like redrawing every stretch of diagonal RHW...

39492571.jpg

Although this is annoying, the RHW-4 diagional stretches have been realigned. That's an old stretch, while the curves show the new alignment...

Gurning_Chimp: It looks to me like you have the old RHW 5.0 icons in there, I'd recommend you deleted your Network Addon Mod folder and reinstalled it, this will ensure there are no old files left over.

Yup. That fixed it. Although I am unable to build the double decker highways now. The Starter piece is there but I can't expand upon it with either rail or RHW

Hate to add to the mess...

But the all the 6S bridges don't work at short distances (they work longer distances... Didn't exactly calculate the differential distance). They all look like this...

2upwuns.jpg

And yeah I've tried it in other places with similar distances, and I get the same result (don't mind that the bridge is going through the building, that's not a problem haha)

I'm just a group of atoms typing this.

What do I know?

I'm able to do it. You should, too, using the RHW tool.

Please note no pylon support yet.

That's a pity... May I ask why this was changed in NAM 31? :)

I see now. That's fine, I can wait for pylon support.

Although it is a bit of a shame that there's still no road overpasses over Tram in avenue and a folded D exit that allows a T-junction on the opposite side of a highway but next time eh?  :P

Also, what about that box on Madison-Wells?

I'm not sure about that, is that the station included in the NAM? If so, the NAM has a policy that it doesn't use external dependencies, so I'm afraid I don't know what's causing it.

It is. It's one of the el rail over road ones. The one that looks like an actual El rail over road station in Chicago. I had downloaded it before and had no problems (besides the old 'This won't appear outside of Zoom level 5' bug that still plagues Ashland station) so I guess it's something with the NAM

And other issue I have noticed is that when you exit a city and go back to the region view, it crashes. I removed the new NAM and put the old one back in, and the problem went away. I'm not sure if anyone else is having this issue, but it happened without fail on quite a few attempts to test it out to see if it was something I was doing or if it was the NAM, and like I said, once I removed the new NAM and put back the old version, the problem stopped.

Found these two bugs while testing the new NAM:

nambug.jpg

Sorry i cannot post a pic right now but all of my el rail and el rail over road. Existing and newly laid down appears with the multi colors like the above pic. also some transition curves with el rail over road to el rail have brown boxes.

also the ddrhw has no support pillars. (edit: i read the above post about the pillars)  I would like to add that nam 31 looks like it will be amazing when i am able to get the time to really get into it. do not take the bug issues as a knock on your hard work nam team, this is much appreciated

-- How rude! Please note that you're dealing with a project people work on in their free time!

Also, what does this contribute to the bug reports? Any future posts like this will be removed without warning.

Just a side note here then on topic. My apologies for the language but posts like this piss me right off. These hard working VOLUNTEERS who probably have RL jobs and RL problems have worked their butts off for over a year on this thing and you have the freaking audacity to post something like that. I see you have 2 posts - what's the name of your real account? What didn't have the balls to post it under your main? You should be ashamed of yourself for acting like that! My 4 year old acts more mature than that!

On topic - Been finding a lot of bugs with the attempting L0 - L1- L2 overpasses near each other mainly with overrides and more that most have already been posted here. I'll post screens as I dig up more provided they are not listed here. Great job NAM team!

It should also be noted the first few days post-NAM release are like this. Opening the mod to everyone means more eyes to point out bugs and any other issues we missed, and will be fixed in a update about a week or so after the initial release.

It seems like this new nam version has more bugs than the previous one, don't sound offended but personally i think you guys should stick with the version 30 till everything has been sorted out... i've noticed some things that i can't do with this new version (nam 31) than the previous one (nam 30).

I really appreciated what the nam team has done so far but i think there's more to take care off right now....

It seems that not everything has been done cause i've noticed that some pieces are unavailable or impossible to create like before we'd could do in Nam v30... I'm going to be rolling back to Nam v30 till everything has been sorted out until then...

You guys (off the nam team) are doing an incredible job till now, but it needs more work, in my opinion, it's been released too soon...

just my 2 cents ;-)

A few problems here.....

1. for some reason, i cannot place any plobbables of the new maxis highway. no exits, transitions, roundabouts, i just keep getting a red arrow. :???:

OB6Vsdz.jpg

2.  the curves for draggable FAR to straight are, well, sort of blockish looking. Is this how it was designed or did i do somthing wrong?

3. for some reason, my automatic turn lanes are gone. I'm not sure if it was included in the installer(did a custom install, might've missed it) and im wondering if the NAM team just got rid of them......

When the previous version was released, there were bugs then too ;)

Releasing the mod to the public, like Haljackey says, means there are more people to spot the bugs.

Typical open beta. Hell you guys can't find every bug now can you? I think you guys all did one hell of a job with this. It's potential is astounding to say the least. I have high confidence in all of you that the bugs will slowly die off as time progresses. Key word here everyone is TIME.

2. You'll need to use Orthogonal to FAR transitions, they are found in the FAR tab.

3. In order to get the turn lanes back, you must click on the intersection with the rail tool. This will return the turning lanes for that intersection.

@ newyorkrunaway1: The one thing I can think of related with your crashes in Region view is a conflicting Transport View mod; there is one included in the NAM. Do you have another Transport View mod installed?

ofcourse, you are right, but i just expressed my opinion about this... i know that every new version brings new problems, and that is fine, im just pointing the problems...

if it helps to point the problems, it will solve anyway....

I've decided to just roll back to 30 and stick with that until the bugs get worked out of 31. Can't wait to use it after the fixes are made. So far, this is the best NAM by far, and only keeps getting better. :)

Here is a link to my picture of a possible bug I found on the new "T" section of the new Symphony. I know the cars disappear at this point and when I bring up my "drawpaths" a flashing red arrow shows up in the off ramp where the cars disappear at. Correct me if I am wrong.

This is a broken path, thanks for spotting this, it's been added to the issue list :)

The 2-Level FlexHT doesn't seem to be working, unless I'm doing this wrong.

@samerton i removed the old one that showed RHW in the region view prior to installing 31. If it were an issue with that, wouldn't it crash at launch? When I relaunch SC4 after it crashes, it shows the changes made in the city in the region view. it's weird... :/

Question:  Will you repackage the whole thing with an updated version number like V31.1, V31.2 or will you just be releasing fix packages.  Under the circumstances I would prefer the former together with a bug-fix list.

I am definitely going to wait in the weeds for V31.1 at least.

Release dates are to confining.  I suggest that if you ever do this again you need a cut off 30 days in advance followed by a month of private QA.

Indeed--and this is the last time we'll be doing a release date, ever.

The plan is to make "NAM 31 Second Edition" (NAM 31SE) once we've ironed out things.

I'm missing the OWR2 to MIS automatic transition.

... Just to make the list complete. What a great accomplishment. My new love goes by the name of Sevenpointfive.
