Did you restart your pc after replacing the files, but before you fired up the game? I find this simple task can cure a lot of woes, especially if moving/renaming/deleting a number of files in a 'session'. Also on widows systems, running the defrag after a large clean up can speed things up in game.

But if the problem is still standing since the new version's release date. I should have turn my computer on and off for several time since the release date, and the result is always same, though I have checked my Plugins for many times in case of any previous version is still existed and I found no previous version is still in my Plugins. Then, I try to test the newer version with the vanilla game, and the game is still crashing whenever I plop the lot. After assuming that the mod is problematic and buggy, I give up and reinstall the previous version (I'm still saving it in another file).  Any other idea about how to solve this?

I'm not sure if this is where to post this question.  I searched this sites forums and this was the only forum I found for this mod.  I installed the mod and I had a few lightning storms already but they are all off screen.  I think I may have had a snowstorm too but couldn't tell.  All I heard was blowing wind.  The tile is placed as centrally in my city as I can so i'm not sure if there was something else I was supposed to do.  Were there any other requirements needed for this mod to work?

Question.  Im using the Jupiter weather controller.  I have the game on slow, but I only ever get lightning storms.  Do I have to  place the controller lot at differing times in the calendar year, or is the mod supposed to change seasons on its own?

it's supposed to change on it's own. based on the information you gave me, all I can give you is that you're either (a) playing at a high attitude (which mentions of violent t-storms at high attitude) or (b) you're not playing long enough in the the year. another theory is that you may have only placed one lot down... try placing more then one lot and see how that works out.

I do have mountains in my zone, but the control lot is just above sea level.  I have let the game run on turtle speed for about 20 years and only ever got lightning storms.  Ill have to try a zone without mountains and see what happens.

 

Edit:  Figured it out, I did not have the extra cheats dll installed.  I got that, and now its working.  Woot.

Just to let anyone else know that might be having this problem, it was caused by a city in my region.  I don't know what exactly caused the problem, but I created a new region (a new city in the region was still breaking the weather mod) and that fixed the problem.  Thankfully the corrupted city was fairly new so I didn't lose a lot of work.

I never got those huge clouds... what I remember I had was a small group of clouds... at a certain zone... and now... its not even working. Im really hoping I get a fix for this... I get the clouds... but nothing happens =(

Have you given it a couple years?  I don't get the thick overcast clouds/fog every year.  It seems to happen maybe once every 4-5 years.  There might also be something wrong with the city/region like I had.  Try making a new region.  I actually made a brand new user with the only mod being the weather mod to figure out the region thing.  I then went back my normal user, made a new region and imported the one city that wasn't broken.

damn , seems i'm the only one who got simcity crashing right after the plop of the LOT.....

i tried to put jenx mod alone in my plugin folder to avoid eventual collides ......but seems to be the plug in it self ...

i own the deluxe edition , and is patched to .638 version .....

any ideas?
