Lurking around this thread and enjoying the things you upload (plus being Melbournian) shows me that there is real talented BATting here! Really nice stuff! Agreeing on the ivy as it is slightly too big!

Cathedral is looking great! I'm not all sold on the ivy, it looks a bit oversized to me.

Oh, yes... stunning!.. actually I had this idea to make these I would make a library of architectural 'bits' .. columns, arches, reliefs, gables etc, then they could be imported and attached in different configurations with different textures added to make rows of these types of buildings... less tedious. I'm liking the cathedral! I'm not sold on the ivory but I like the concept. I think it could be a bit less dense and more spaced out.

Your cathedral is very gorgeous and so perfect, I can't wait to put this in my plugins folder . But I'm agree about the ivy, something doesn't work, its maybe the color or the size of the leaves

What I would be interested in is how you would model Q1 Tower.

 

You could possible to some kind of diary where you describe what you do and explain your teqniques and show the result of each day to the community!

Australia 108: 70 Southbank Blvd 388m (Although according to Wikipedia has been shelved ??! )

Prima Pearl: 31-49 Queensbridge Street 254m

Queensbridge Tower: 1-23 Queensbridge Street 276m

 

 

and I think another one was recently approved in the CBD

 

Xander will know he is the king of knowing new buildings

 

 

What I would be interested in is how you would model Q1 Tower.

 

You could possible to some kind of diary where you describe what you do and explain your teqniques and show the result of each day to the community! 

 

That's an interesting challenge. I have had so many requests to do Q1 (despite the fact its not in Melbourne lol).. is that something people really want to see or will I look like a doof posting that?

Acutally, I'm only interested in it as I tried to make it once but failed at it due to lack of knowledge and I would like to compare mine to yours and I could easily see how you're doing this and that!

Loving the cathedral, except for then ivy which looks huge. I like the concept though. Those new skyscrapers look like they would make great BATs.  There is a chronic shortage of skyscrapers with podiums on the STEX/LEX et al. Not many skyscrapers are built these days without some sort of podium.

Cathedral is looking amazing, although I think I'd prefer it with no ivy at all.  At the least, the ivy needs reworking.

I also agree 110% about the lack of skyscrapers with podiums in this game.  Virtually every new building in my home city (San Francisco) has a podium, and yet you never see them here.  That seems to be the design element of the future.

You forgot 555 Collins Street (Cancelled to), but that one along with Australia 108 might get built yet (i hope) because the problem was the height limits from the emergency flight path of one of Melbourne's airports (can't remember witch one).

If they can revise that then there might be hop yet! (yes please!).

 

Also Carlton Brewery, The Vision, The falls, Tower Melbourne amongst others but of top of my head i remember those as they are my favorite ones  , Love Prima Pearl as well looks like a beauty, not in my top 10 of skyscrapers in the world but still up there.

 

Though if Australia 108 ever goes ahead i hope they change the design because the one they picked looks hideous!.

Wow...Melbourne has some great projects...overall, the city has some beautiful skyscrapers.  Australia is very cosmopolitan and beautiful! Worth saving to visit someday!

Your creations are incredible, I've always been looking for Melbourne buildings because I love Melbourne, it's not even comparable to Perth   Have you ever considered doing any of the stadiums, the MCG is iconic, but Etihad or the other one (AAMI Park?) would be great additions to any city. Regarding Australia 108, it apparently needs to be redesigned along with the proposed 555 Collins. This is due to a flight path which Essendon Airport uses.

EDIT: Forgot to add that the height of these buildings might need to be cut substantially which will not make Aus 108 or 555 Collins the tallest I think.. IMO, the flight path should be moved

• Weixc - that's beautiful, and another creative use for the new arts centre BAT. I love how you've done the waterway too.
• LecrasLegend - thanks! Etihad is on definitely on my list, agree AAMI Park would be great to do but its currently not in my to-do-list. MCG would need to be pretty special, as you say, its iconic.
