Those reefs look good out of the water and in it a very versatile BAT it could esily be used as an outcrop Both in rivers and seas and on land.

I am working on a conveyor set but it is early days and its a project more complex than any I have undertaken so it could be a few months before it is ready.

Dead trees that is a good idea. They will look great around your excavation site......6.gif

Hey buddy. Good to hear that the surgery went well, welcome back man.

Wow, first time I see this monster BAT (the steel mill) in action. It really fits in that huge mining area... huge indeed! I like the way you use the cliffs for the mine very much... its course looks very natural (if t makes any sense). I love all the details: the trucks, dirt roads and cargo yards. Great job there.

Also great job with your flora mods... I'll keep an eye on them (*checks out sorchin's BAT thread*)

Now take your well-deserved rest Steve... you'll need your arm for later updates 4.gif.

Take care!

- Phil

PS: That school shooting... sad really. We'll never understand why someone would do such a terrible thing..

And that pit is just... woah! The area around it is incredible, one of the most amazing lots I've seen in a City Journal. The trees lok stunning, you are incredibly good at this! And your BATs continue to amaze me, we always need more mayor mode flora and your ones are incredible! Great work!

Hello, Steve:

I'm really glad your surgery went well. As for the flora mods, that's a nice project. I look forward to seeing it in use in the future. Great job on everything!

I did hear that thing about the Montreal school shooting, but I didn't hear much, but I still hope that God will be with the families of those who have lost somebody from the shooting. God bless those families!

jaqulina: Hello my dear friend. Yeah the sling is gone for good35.gif I'm doing intense physio at least twice a week (all I can afford47.gif). Most of my "physio" I'm doing on my own. Such a waste...45.gif.

RushHourFreak: Hopefully I'll have time to update over the next couple of days and test all this46.gif. Your right we should certainly pray for the families of this terrible tragedy8.gif.

Working with Plopable Water Flora (Teaser, for more pics and more detail please visit my BAT Thread.. Feel free to let me know what you think44.gif)

The next true update should be in a couple of days or so. I'm going to incorporate the new flora I've been working on plus I have a couple of more realistic gravel textures for "The Pit" area as well. Stay tuned..

Fore the time being here is a teaser of some new plopable water flora that should work exactly like jeronij's water flora found here. Remember to check out my BAT Thread for more pics..

This is what I have come up with for the water flora...

Very nice. I like that brown/beige coloured texture. It looks like a beach with some waterplants on it, you know like at low tide.

The red is too vulcanic for my taste (but maybe usefull to others) and the yellow will look good at excavation sites, it has a clayish tone to it.

That gray dead tree is dead good.

    Be gentile on that shoulder!

    Hi Steve,

Wish I could post more often...

I was just looking at update 40, and just couldn't help but to get out of lurk mode (just before going to work!)

WOW, That steell mill  area is just fantastic! Very well done my friend!

I like how you've done the setup. it's very realistic!

As for your new project of  Ploppable water flora, I could just quote Nik-Nik, he's taken the words out  of my mouth! My preferences are exactly the same!

So keep up the excellent work on this and see you later!

salut221: Thanks as always my friend..

crazychickensc12: Thanks my friend. All the new flora is original BATS. I used Goldiva's Tropical Sea Set as templates with a few instance number and value changes. So for the most part yes it's from scratch44.gif

Nik-nik. Hey mate. I used a few different kinds to give gamers more options. I like some better than others too.2.gif.. Thanks for stopping by my friend..

Darmok: Hey buddy. No problem.. Stop by whenever you can. Thanks concerning the Steel Mill. Much work needs to be done but it's an ok start I think.. And thanks concerning the flora my friend. I hope many will find it useful4.gif

jaqulina: That's great that you'll find use for it.. I would love to see it in your great journal my good friend..44.gif

    bat: Thanks my good friend...4.gif

    asturianu: Thanks very much amigo...

Update 41: New Plopable Flora in action. Dedicated to asturianu

Today is a simple update showing how this new flora looks in my journal..

Lets start by placing some dark flora water next to the lake:

    plopflora1mg0.jpg

Now lets add a maxis standard bridge:

    plopflora2mc0.jpg

Lets add the plopable water dark blue flora...Note, this can't be done with the NAM bridges, the water won't go in between the columns45.gif

    plopflora3il2.jpg

Lets add more flora to compliment the water...

    plopflora4uq1.jpg

    A panned out different angle...

    plopflora5th9.jpg

    Thanks my friends..

    Have a great day...

That flora looks awesome in action! Great work!

Forgive me for asking, but since I'm too lazy to go find a tutorial, how did you make that bridge on land?

    Keep it up, Steve!

The water is looking lovely; I particularly like the rippling effect you've created.

With the rocks, you may want to utilise some different textures to really show these models to their full potential. The colours you have chosen have a very even palette with only two or three tonal variants within the same colour - if you look at Goldiva's grey rocks, there are flecks of green, brown, blue etc all through the texture which replicates rocks in real life (as rocks are exposed to the elements they have moss and lichen on them); even looking at the in game ground texture (under the bridge you made), you'll notice how many variants of brown, russett and olive there are through the texture and of course, flecks and seams of grey/white.

Obviously this is just a suggestion and you are free to take it or leave it, but well done on all of the hard work so far!
