At the very least, I'll sign up for the beta. But it wants me to select a dxdiag file? What?

Nevermind, figured it out. Didn't know I could make my Dxdiag a file. But it doesn't matter now, I got to step 4 of the sign-up and the website got DDosed.

What kind of sign is it that the minute they announce signing up for Beta on site the site dies. hmmm. poor plans Maxis/EA.

I was very unlikely to buy the game to begin with as nothing I have heard or read makes me feel like this is a good next step for Sim City (rather it seems like a step into lala land), but just to see what it was like in a beta and that gets DOS... Sorry Maxis/EA you are only losing more and more.

Oh and the site was up right before the Sim City nothing of any interest (besides beta) talk happened. I thought about signing up for the beta then, as the link was there. I was on my mac and not my PC; would play the game on my PC so thought said forget it. Then get my PC out after the blah talk and site is down.

I'd say give it 10 to 20 more minutes for it to become up and stable. I can't imagine its very easy to instantly put a web page on the internet and have it ready and bug free for use for hundreds or thousands of people.

Response time is getting better now though.

The Simcity twitter account tweeted that the servers are "bending under the load" and that a lot of people are trying to sign up.
