Can I just say... I am extremely jealous of everyone that can play this game. These screenshots are beautiful. I wish my laptop was good enough to run this game

I bought the game hoping that even though my Mac doesn't have the minimum requirements, I'd still be able to play. I was thinking, "there's no way it simply won't run. It will just be really slow." But when the game launches it is just a pixelated screen. I can hear the music and the mouse clicks, but I can't do anything. I turned off the Steam overlay, verified the cache or whatever it's called, did everything I read about from people with similar problems. Am I really just SOL? Really want to play this game... Macbook Pro (Early 2011) OS X 10.10.2 Yosemite 2 GHz Intel Core i7 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 AMD Radeon HD 6490M 256 MB

I have no idea how to get the plugins to work with the app store version. I've done everything that everyone on this forum has said with no luck. Is the Steam version the same or is it easy like the pc game where I just download, copy, and paste in plugins?

Well a few days ago I put all of the settings to low/min. Haven't had any problems. I like that it runs smoothly, I just wish I didn't have to put with terrible graphics.

The game has been running more poorly each day. Even on minimum settings it's very slow.

Your graphics card is below the minimum requirements? I have a 2012 Macbook Pro. What the??

It's been a while, but I'm back and finally ready to try this game out. I bought the PC version back when I was running Parallels on my Mac, but that didn't work out so I just gave up. But now the game is coming out for Mac and I'm already preloading it (it's currently at 50%). So does anyone know if it will be available to play at midnight? Or will I have to wait until later in the day?

I guess that was it then. I had the police station but didn't have enough money to add on any modules yet. Oh well. At least now I'll be prepared. Thanks!

I've been playing for about 6 hours with no problems at all. Just a little laggy. And when I say "a little laggy" I mean that it's not that bad. Trust me, I hate lag, but this is manageable.

Came to this thread by searching. I had a zombie attack and had no idea how to stop it! I went from over 10k sims to about 300 in a matter of minutes. Luckily my city is recovering, but how the heck am I supposed to stop a zombie attack in the future?

Restarted and everything's all good. Great game! A lot of planning to do to keep the sims happy. Very fun to play.

So after 2 days I was finally able to claim a city and I gotta say, I love this game. It's a little laggy, but I'm hoping they will finally fix the servers. But I did notice one major bug. When I drag a road, the screen goes dark. I can see the path of the road that I am dragging after I have dragged it, but I can't see where I'm dragging it or anything else on the screen. It's hard to explain, but anyone else encounter something like this?

Still waiting for a Mac release date...

Could someone please give me a key if they aren't using it? I got invited to the first beta and didn't get to play because I was traveling and didn't get a key for the second
