You work always very realistically, and the windows do not have this color, but why not a second pop color version.3.gif

I hope, with the center go everything well.  I want it so much.1.gif

oh yes, i suggest you to do the ifc shopping mall, the ifc2 stands so lonely in the simcity. it would be much beautiful if an extraordinary shopping center is beside it

Well, i've worked quite abit on a BAT that i am almost ready to release, but since i lack modding and lotting skills, i have decided to join SYM productions so i can send the model way for modding and stuff. I haven't seen T Wrecks for a while either.

After my building goes out, you tell me if i am qualified to BAT a hong kong building.

Ok, thanks bixel, i am near finished a building, except for the roof. If there is a building that is rather simple to do and there are dimensions, i'm pretty sure i can make it. But modding and lotting are my week spots.

btw, i am interested in office buildings and one thati want to do it 1 IFC, but i can't find any good pictures or dimenesions of it. the only picture i have of it is in a book i got from hong kong over the summer called building hong kong

I send you gladly pictures of the one ifc.  For your first I recommend however the Murray House to you.  An architecture everyone in HK knows.

Honestly the 1IFC is intimidating for me, Paulvmontfort is great at making slick HK Office buildings, the trick with the 1IFC (as you can see from the picture) is to get the building dimensions just right and splines, splines, splines. Check Paul's history of progress with the 2IFC and you'll see what he does with the splines, its amazing, I don't know how he lays them down so perfectly46.gif. Seriously you will need to talk with him especially if you are going to do the 1IFC it would be very pleasing to see both buildings are complimentary to each other.

Also, HONG KONG has sent me a small zip file of pictures of HK and its buildings, if you ask politely he can point out some cool buildings possibly overlooked by Paul.

    I love coffee and buildings.

O, i see, i'll look into murray house. Yeah, 2 IFC is amazing, is it true that he will make an updated version with fixed lights and stuff? It's funny, all i use in buildings are splines, no meshes at all, or very little, since i never learned how to mess with meshes, so everything u see in my buildings are extruded or modifiyed spines.

I'll ask HONG KONG for some suggestions, but for now, during the weekdays, i'm kinda busy with homework. I'm a sophmore in high school.

Bixel, is the murray house you are talking about located in stanley? If so, then i've been there before, anyways, i find archetech like that difficult for me. I would rather start out with a building with a for example a flat wall, with glass or a wall.

BTW, what happened to conrad and pacific place that paul was working on?

Wow things are really churning here!  Send the model to me, Fantail, via e-mail, with your desired specifications for the building (if any) and I'll find an open modder to get this thing all jazzed up!  44.gif

the problem with Pacific Place is the Nightlightning. I discovered a new technique for doing the nightlightning very easily but I didn't use it yet on Pacific Place so I'll probably have to redo the glass surfaces on the model. I wan't to finish it off after I'm done with the Centre were i'm working on now2.gif

    Fantail

I thought of the Murray in central. Consider the interesting window arrangement.

If you got Phillipobo's tutorial he gives you some adivce in the beginning on what your grid lines an viewing measurements are supposed to be. Typically for measuring units (not grid spacing) I leave on default, though I think Paulvmontfort puts his in metric. Grid lines should be set up so that your large squares should be 16x16, or 1 SC4 tile. If you want test it by making a box 15.5x15.5x5 and export it and view in the LOT Editor.

Since I do residentials my usually height for each level is 4, though basement/lobby level tend to be a bit higher around 5. Keeping my verticle measurement simple and correct with the floor count of the actual building will usually result in almost identical measurements. For instance I recently did Manhattan Heights and it turns out I only have about a 1% height difference from the actual building.

Office buildings try 4.5 or 5, or ask Paulvmontfort about it. I tend to build level by level, though I think Paul creates a mesh to the specs of the building then adds to that.

Placement wise I usually get the actual floor plans from the official site of the building and more or less follow their measurements by eye comparision rather than by direct input, I dont want to make rooms 4.378 meters wide, so I round it off to 4.25. Windows tend to be about 3x3 or larger.

    I love coffee and buildings.
