The Millennium Tower by Dareka is now available on the STEX. Go here .

Another BAT by NOB - this one is the Kameyama Wind Power Generator. Get it here .

Kaku has created a swimming stadium. It is 7000 to place and 200 to maintain. Get it here  at his Yahoo Briefcase.

There are two other BATs in the Briefcase. The first is a Japanese-style passenger ship, the Oedomaru. The last one is some kind of robot, but you can read that for yourself.

I uploaded Dareka's Millennium Tower to the STEX, but many people are complaining that it won't show up in the game. Blame Darkmatter, not me!2.gif
All I did was open DatGen and change the text in Japanese (in the exemplars or whatever) to English, then save. That's it. I have no clue why it doesn't work.
If someone (Equinox?) can mod it so the text is in English, PM me with a mail address that will accept big files, and I will send you the Japanese original file.

I'm just wondering, which, if any of the Japanese sites have Naval or ship related buildings?
Any info would be much appreciated.

Hey, I'm glad I checked this thread! lol
You can use the version of the tower I have on my website, if you'd like ...

I'm not at my house right now so it's really all I have to offer, but the lot is transit-enabled, there is a custom query, and it does show up in the game menus. ;) I believe it should be in the folder http://spartan117.simvision.net/Downloads/SimCity4/

Can anybody explain me how does the Kameyama Wind Power Generator works? (in reality, I mean) I cannot understand from which direction wind should blow 18.gif But the design is perfect, indeed.

I checked it out on the web, and it seems that NOB made a mistake in his description. It's an old hydroelectric power plant, not a wind power plant. It is now a museum. Perhaps NOB wants to change it to a wind power plant in Sim City 4.

Here's an article about it  in English and in Japanese . The article focuses on the fact that it is a brick structure, but it mentions specifically that it was a hydroelectric plant.

NOB has also created some nice tree lots to line your avenues with, and the trees change with the seasons. Judging from the Mar. - Apr. color, it appears the trees he modeled are cherry trees.

Hey, Armandeus (and anybody who's downloaded it), does the SkyTower lot I provided work perfectly?  Specifically, the overlay textures for the roads in the middle?  I think there might be a dependancy to a Japanese download somewhere on this thread involving bus pullout lane textures, actually ...

Does anyone know anything about a Batter called Iin?  I saw some of his work on SimCity Force posted fairly recently, but his site is down.  Here are some for instances:

Fairlane500, here are a few Japanese naval BATs.

drool66, sorry, but I don't know of anywhere else to get those lots, and I don't have them.

New BATs.

First, a new oil power plant by Nekomimi. The output is 10550 MW, it is 8800 to plop, and 620 to maintain. It is 6 x 7 tiles in size. The creator warns using this lot is a little like cheating because it gives off almost no pollution. Download here .
hatudensyoSS.jpg

Next, we have the Twin Tower Station, a passenger station by Bikutorii. He redid this old BAT skyscraper so that it is transit-enabled and functions as a station. Get it here .
 TheTwinTower.jpg

Finally, here is a BAT replica of the Tokyo University Yasuda Lecture Hall, by Ragutaro. The lot is based on a private college, which I assume means it functions as one too. It costs 10,000 to plop, 1,200 to maintain, supports 14,000 students, and is 5 by 6 in size. You need these props to use the lot. Download the lot here .

I wonder how long the  High-power Antenna took to render......6.gif25.gif
That is one heck of a structure!....and a lot of work.34.gif

I think that Somy uses a 3ds MAX, not Gmax. There are a lot of things in his BAT that just can not be created via Gmax. 3ds MAX render engine is more faster than usual B.A.T. tool renderer.

I think that this great Antenna was rendered in minutes, not hours :}

I think you can see a table on his first page. Here is a simplified version, with just the lot names and the most important items in red translated (the rest is really technical anyway).

market street lot - rethinking whether to host for download
Life supermarket - not available for download
shrine - available for download (Japanese version)
Royal Host family restaurant - not available for download
Mizuho Bank - not available for download
various commercial buildings - not available for download
Japanese apartments - 60% finished

So basically Kei has decided not to distribute most of his lots anymore.

Here is an Egyptian obelisk landmark by Nekomimi. He has prepared a 1 x 1, 2 x 2, and prop version, but there are some problems. The 2 x 2 version sometimes shows up as a Sim City 4 box for no apparent reason, and at zoom level 2 one side of the obelisk may disappear. Get it here .
