    Hello dear Simtropia visitors !!!

Unfortunately I am still short of time, so I will have to compress most of the replies (again 2.gif 2.gif into a single one THANKS TO ALL for the feedback and comments44.gif !!!. I do really apreciate all and everyone of your pleasant posts !!!

WOW, 15 pages already 47.gif !!!. Fortunately you can check the  Table Of Contents for quick links to the interesting pics 2.gif. The short available time will be shared between some quick unavoidable replies 2.gif and a fresh update 10.gif. I hope you like it.

Hehe Great update. I like the ...and after the click.... line. 3.gif

So many replies already. I'm sure you are used to getting showers of replies to a single update, even if it is a teaser or a simple 8x8 medium city region tiles. 48.gif

Great work jeronij. I'm loving this CJ. Are those dirt roads with tiles Transit-Enabled Lots?

And a last comment before closing off my post. If only there was a way to create slope-conforming walls for your walls.2.gif

    jeronij:

I'm going to be totally honest with you here, so bear with me. Your landscaping is pretty good indeed (it beats my feeble attempts) and your region is well laid-out. However, I'm failing to see what all the fuss is about. Your region is not overly big (like some of Mr. Cinatit's), nor are the mountains, rivers and hills particularly grand in scale. Your detailing is fantastic, but I'm kind of curious as to how good this would look without the terrain and tree mods---it seems that you rely a lot on covering up the mountains and valleys with millions of trees instead of letting the land speak for itself.

Now, having said all that, please know that this region is very impressive, and really cool to look at. Your presentation (especially the mosaics) is top-notch. Keep up the good work!

As for the hundreds of comments you've gotten, it seems odd to me that people are posting two to three times a day even though you may not have made an update that day---most of the comments have much less to do with the actual region than with the fact that so many people are commenting. Having read this ENTIRE cj, I'd wager cutting out all the redundant, meaningless w0w dud3 th1s r0ckS!! and lots of people are commenting so I better leave a comment posts would reduce it to less than 7 pages, tops.

Anyway, this reply has got to be the longest you've received so far on this cj, so I'll wrap it up. Sorry.

Part of it is that Jeroni has a HUGE reputation for his old CJ, Sculpting Columbia River. He's started us off slow. I do agree with you that there could be a little more terrain variety (I detest plains) but eh, farms are good to fill plains up with.

Anyway, these farms look pretty good. And I notice that now (or were they there before?) there are tree-lined paths in between the farms. I really liked this update. Except, I'd really hate to miss my exit! 18.gif Don't you just hate it when you miss your exit and there isn't another one for miles 28.gif18.gif I count one exit per side for the whole city (and not too convenient of a way to get from one side to the other!)

I don't think they can be because you can't place 2 transit enable tiles next to each other and have the transit go through all of them.

I'm back in Houston now... I can't believe I've only been gone 2 days and there are 3 more pages since my last post and more than 5,000 people have come to this CJ. I call that incredible. I call it the Simtropia Revolution.

Viva la Jeronij... just kidding around. 17.gif

    Jeronij-

Thank you very much for paying so much attention to my bothersome questions.  I especially appreciate the link to PEG's web site.  I have to admit, though, I am still not understanding how you get your roadside trees.  Don't worry about it though, I will play around some more in my own projects and figure it out.

As for your wall lined dirt roads, I assumed they were foot trails (pedestrian pathways), not vehicular roads.

Only one or two questions this time around.  I noticed you have what appears to be an avenue (at first glance) but instead looks like 2 roads placed right next to each other, as they diverge and go off in separate directions as they near a major intersection.  Am I correct in this or is the main 2-lane road indeed an avenue and I just don't know how to get each side of the avenue to go in different directions?

You mentioned having to work hard to get your farms to match between cities.  Cna you give any of us any pointers?  Meldig developed cities within a region without destroying the areas around the seams between the cities has been especially difficult for me.

BTW, for other folks new or semi-new to adding custom content to your game play, I found a tutorial on this web site a few nights ago, posted by GrampaAl, that really helped me a lot.  I have not yet taken the advice to heart, but I plan to.  There are 3 pages of posts after the tutorial and I recommend reading them all.

Great work, Jeronij, I am enjoying watching your region grow.  As always, keep up the good work!

Nice farming area. Those dirty streets look good (even though I don't use them). I like your trails with the walls. Any chance they are going to find theri way on the STEX? *hint, hint*

BTW it seems there isn't much traffic on your roads. I can't place my farms so close to a road sice it will surely dilapate later ..

I believe its mainly a result of Sculpting Columbia River. Jeroni is getting six times as much comments as everyone else because he is a SimTropolis hero! In SCR he showed many people new things to do with SC4; new ways to play the game everyone here loves so much. He inspired many of us in a way that has greatly enhanced our game experience. Most importantly, Jeroni is about the nicest guy around. More helpful, friendly and dedicated City Journalers than him are hard to find! 1.gif

    Jeroni,
I'm liking it still! I'd love to see some more detailing, cause I know how good you are at that!

    Hi Jeronij,

I have been on holidays, and busy preparing our multiplayer CJ (and BATs for it), and what do I see, you started a new success-story CJ. Congratulations, you have a huge following!
