How are you trying to install the 3.6 Update? The update is a manual install that adds to the original RTMT. You first need to install RTMT v3.5 (Link) by running the Install_RTMT350 file and the one of the others included in the download. This will install the RTMT folder in your Plugins folder. After that, you unzip the files in the 3.6 Addon set add or replace the appropriate files into the RTMT folder. These will include the DAMN and SAM files that you may choose to add or not.

The new add-on pack you posted to fix the problem I was previously having (all stations appeared at once when plopped) fixed what it was supposed to, but ever since then I only get one of two station props when I plop the lots: the modern long station or the modern short station. I like these, but I would rather have more variety of stations appear in my cities. I followed your instructions for upgrading from the old add-on pack exactly, as far as I can tell. Here are the files in my Props folder...

This bug has now been fixed, and the fix has been incorporated into the RTMT Add-On Pack V3.60. Only a single file was changed, so if you already have this add-on pack installed, you just need to extract the version of the file whose name begins "RTMTV3_LotsAGLR_" that corresponds to the the version you already have installed, and replace the installed version with the new one.

A bug related to the one in the previous post was found shortly after the one mentioned in the previous post, and it too has now been fixed. However, the two fixes are incompatible. The newly fixed version of RTMT v3.60 now has its prop family feature fully compatible with that of RTMT v3.50 for the first time, and all users (or potential users) of this feature should upgrade to the new version. If you wish to save time, a full upgrade is not necessary; you merely have to upgrade the proper version of the "RTMTV3_LotsAGLR_" file, as described in the previous post, as well as any of the prop family files that you are using.

If you don't know what a prop family is, then you don't need this fix. :golly:

Due to the great demand for RTMT NWM stations, they are being moved forward into the coming release, which is being renumbered as RTMT v3.70.

As you may have read elsewhere, the RTMT Team is going to be including RTMT stations for all the NWM networks in the next RTMT release. Due to the number of NWM networks (including those in the next release) and the various features of RTMT stations, this means adding hundreds of new stations to RTMT. (The current total number of RTMT stations is 53.) For this reason, we need people to join the RTMT Team and help us build these stations.

People who are interested in helping us should have at least basic familiarity with the Reader and the Lot Editor. Some familiarity with SC4Tool would also be helpful, but isn't necessary. A full tutorial for building these stations is being completed, so all the steps will be laid out clearly.

One of the most important qualifications for joining the RTMT Team is to be able to put in at least several hours per week on this project, on average. RL always takes precedence, of course. But it is important that if you want to join the RTMT Team, you are willing to put in a reasonable amount of time on the project.

If this sounds like something you want to do, then please send me a PM with a little information about your background. Thanks! :)

Not without actually modding the files. The current version of RTMT should have well-tuned values for those properties. What version of RTMT are you using?

I have a question.

Is there any Elevated Rail on Road piece for curving rail at an intersection?

If not, may I request it?

This is actually not the right thread for this question, as it is a NAM question. But such a piece does exist in the NAM.

Is it possible to create an RHD compatible version of the UK Bus Stop Markings? I like those markings but too bad I use RHD. How about an LHD compatible of the German MT Road Markings?

Hi willsim and aaaling

you can find our requests topic here https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=5633.0

as to UK and Germany Road Markings, I can't see us doing a RHD versions of these road markings, but its something you could do yourself, I'll try and find a couple of tutorial links for you.

Any news on the El-Rail over Avenue? In case its development hasn't started yet, I would like to suggest to have it with the rail going through the center of the avenue--if it's necessary to have it on one side, using the one-ways would work better.

One problem with building RTMT stations is that if adjoining residential or commercial zones don't also adjoin a network at some point, the residential zones will have only abandoned buildings, and Sims will not be able to access commercial jobs. Key methods for getting around this limitation are outlined in the Readme. However, memo has posted an elegant alternative solution in his new tutorial, RTMT stations with zones having road access, where he demonstrates how to give RTMT stations the properties of a network, thereby allowing residential and commercial zones to develop right next to them. Although this does not work for all networks supported by RTMT (due to a lack of suitable transition pieces), it works for the most common ones, and it is and extremely valuable addition to the list of station-building techniques available to RTMT users.

You are probably missing a necessary model file. Which RTMT download did you try? For ease of installation, you might try If you selected the Single Prop option (don't run the PropFamilies file), you won't need to worry about dependencies. If you did use the PropFamily installer, you'll need If you used the and want to use specific stations, you'll need to let us know what options you selected or post a picture of your RTMT folder's contents.

I have a question. Look at the following screenshot:

whichone.jpg

I'm not sure if this is a problem or not, but I can't remember which NAM capacity setting I selected when I installed NAM. Is it critically important that I choose the same exact RTMT setting as my NAM setting, or does it not matter? If it matters, how can I find out which NAM setting I selected?

These options were a result of earlier versions of NAM that existed at the time of the RTMT 3.50 release. They don't exist in the most recent NAM releases. It really doesn't matter which one you select because, if you make the next logical step and instal the (or at least the - which isn't needed to install the 3.60), the files will be replaced anyway. Either way, it's usually best to go with the greatest capacity options.

Recently started getting back into SC4, loading it on my new-ish PC (Win7). Started working on a region and decided to install RTMT.

Immediately after placing stations, however, I get a rash of "no jobs" zots all over the place. Queries show that the stations are working, although I am at a loss how cars use them (dropping off passengers? or just passing through?), but somehow adding them is causing trouble. Is this a bug, or just temporarily messed up traffic patterns?

I just answered this in Bugs and Technical Issues. You should really only ask once.
