Hi guys... new here... can someone please tell me where I can d/l those building sets and those round abouts? There were also pictures with autumn style trees and roads with turn offs... where can d/l all this stuff... I've looked around but havent been able to find anything. I also realised those things are trams!!! must have those too... and a heap of other stuff as I went through the other pics.

AtomicSheep: It's called the STEX. There's a lot more stuff than you can even imagine there. It's at the top of the page. Hope I was helpful. TopCliff

Nice suburbs. Here is one of my suburbs. It closely resembles a city I live by (marysville, wa).  They seem to be getting more and more common.

Atomic sheep, search Amsterdam in the STEX for those buildings. They show up frequently in my cities, and they are very nice 4.gif

how do u add them to your building sets though? I mean... I would like to replace all the residential and commercial buildings with the ones I d/led so that its just those (or at least primarily those that pop up)... in the unmodded game you just select which building style you want and presto but I'm not entirely sure how to use these newly acquired buildings. They are just sitting in their corresponding zip folders atm... getting very lonely.

how do you control what level of wealth develops when you zone an area? my medium wealth suburbs always end up having high wealth and low wealth people housing in them, and it makes the area look goofy

^ Raise the taxes for high wealth and low wealth residential and that should get rid of them for you. However it might be difficult if you want to go back and add a high/low wealth neighborhood, since if you lower taxes they will also move into your medium wealth suburbs (though you can stop this by making the houses historical, but that will take awhile).

is that the only way? i tend to use all large map sections.

it would be great if someone created a mod where you could zone wealth as well as density 9.gif

hey i have a question...when you guys make these suburbs, how do you get the zones to not trun into high wealth? in my cities, i have to leave 1x1 gaps in the zoning to not allow any 3x3 zones to grow, because if i let them grow, a couple of $$$ lots from the STEX end up dominating my suburbs that i want $$. i think it looks better when its all zones like the ones posted, any suggestions?

^ I'll just quote the advise a gave to another person about getting rid of high wealth sims.

Also Lalginho and dosomthin90210, while a mod to allow you to zone by wealth would be great, it isn't possible since zoning is apart of the games code, which we don't have access to.  This was discovered awhile ago when some people wanted to add new zones such as tourism or mixed use zoning to the game.

^ You could make a few medium wealth houses in each block historical, that way they won't be redeveloped into larger high wealth houses. This would allow you to not have to mess with the taxes and still get high wealth residential towers, but it would also take awhile and be quite tedius in larger suburbs.
