  1. Rejected #1 | Port of San Fernando

Wow! Beautiful work; if this is a rejected city, it's something of an "ugly duckling" that has transformed into a swan.
  2. Mountain Hikes - Part 1

    Beautiful work.
  3. Ville de Fontarabie

Ah, the old city is beautiful! Good work!
  4. Show Us Your Suburbs

Everyone's work just keeps getting better and better. Very inspiring pictures! Thanks.
  5. Metasmurfs showcase

Beautiful work! Nice use of trams too....
  6. Asian Style Cities

Wow--great cities everyone! They all look fantastic! I love the view of your port,*****atoo-210893---that cruise ship facility in particular is very impressive.

  8. Show Us Your Suburbs

Hey, bigberta, those Swedish suburbs look fantastic! I love the bike paths and sports facilities!
  9. Show Us Your Anti-Grid!

That messy traffic-flow problem is part of the "fun," however. I like working from a small-scale, non-grid pattern to begin with, looking ahead to a time in my cities' histories when I will have to make some hard choices about road-widening, traffic-flow, and neighbourhood and heritage preservation. Sometimes, it gets a little too real as a result!
  10. Ferries Placement

Yes, be careful of "sandbars," where the water just isn't deep enough. I've foolishly sunk my share of ferries on you-drive missions by not taking the shallows into account. I'm a fan of the ferries in the game, in spite of this!
  11. Show us your touristic area

I can't decide which of all of these great cities I want to vacation in now!
  12. how many still use rails?

    Fantastic discussion--and very inspirational pictures.
  13. Show Us Your Anti-Grid!

shinkansen1, if I have the right building in mind that you refer to, that's one of prepo's magnificent creations (one of my favourite all-time artists on the STEX). Great pictures, everyone! I love the bridge--and the on/off-ramps--and that city view is gorgeous. I wish there were some way to have properly rounded streets, though, and the lots to line them.
  14. The Capital of the World!

Slightly off topic, but since currency has been raised, if there were to be a world capital, there would have to be a new world currency---as the whole debate over the introduction of the Euro showed, there's just too many associations with present currencies for any of them to be universally accepted (as a Canadian, for example, I'd feel very strange about using the American dollar!). Clean slate!
  15. Seattle, WA. (by copecope......)

Great to see Seattle! All you need now is the Rock and Roll Museum near the Space Needle--and the monorail, of course!
