Really, I know it's been said before, but your CJ here is pretty fantastic. The integration of the city within the tree lines is an idea I haven't seen done on this scale before. I highly approve!

Keep the updates coming!

I really like your terrain editing and the red roads in the suburbs.
I know that this is a $%&^! question but I really like your terrain and I want to ask how you made it that way, in other words, which mod do you use that makes the terrain so darm beautiful ( the trees rock too44.gif).

Thanks

Hey Pip I just discovered this CJ too!
Its really great! I was a little skeptical when I saw the patchwark trees, but the way the town flows through them is fantastic!
One thing though, how do you get such nice gentle slopes for your roads and streets???

    Update 9:

Salt Buff, and the Industrial move to Fur Hills.

Now today, I will show you some pics of the new development of Salt Bluff, much more of its land has been taken up with residentual and the industrial is trying to be fazed out to the nabouring city (known as Fur Hills) which I will also show you a few pics on, I will probably put another update soon after this because there are more photos that I would like to show but haven't taken yet!

I though that I might show some further out pictures of Salt Bluff to see where everything is.  I haven't shown many far-out pictures before so I'll see if you guys like em.  Notice the keeping of the original tree lines.

This is the wedge area of Salt Bluff.

    Salt-Bluff-Jan.jpg

These are some farms to the left of the wedge!

    Salt-Bluff-Jan2.jpg

A close up of the area.

    An itersection in Salt Bluff.

    Salt-Bluff-Jan3.jpg

The Uni and the new Student Apartments of Salt Bluff, they are new and will se a new generation of intelligent Green Deprovians.

    Salt-Bluff-Jan51.jpg

The people of Salt Bluff are a huge fan of their sports, Soccer in perticular.  And a new soccer stadium has been built for all of those fanatics, it was placed ontop an existing hill, which is lined with walls and the houses of the coaches, players, officials, and even some fanatics.  A built up sport hill like this is a tradition the stems from Red Depra.

    Salt-Bluff-Jan1.jpg

A train line, which takes spectator all the way from Black Ash Island, to Blackberry Inlet.

    Salt-Bluff-Jan33.jpg

The back side of the hill, with a tribute to Red Depra's greatest ever sporting hero, Sir Jakob Grafnot.  Famous for kicking seven goals against Gold Depra in the Final, considered the greatest goal kicker of all time.

    Salt-Bluff-Jan44.jpg

Some of the coaches and players houses.  The Green Depra League has just put together a team to play the major teams of Depra, Gold Depra and Red Depra.  Will they win their first match against Gold Depra, the second best team in the competition? You will find out in a few updates!  See who can guess who will win and what the score will be?  PS. for fairness I already know who will win and by how much.

    Salt-Bluff-Jan55.jpg

    Salt-Bluff-Jan6.jpg

Now, these are some early shots of the new township of Fur Hills, while it is a industrial town, it is a clean and beautisul one, it is believed it will be a haven for technology and industry.

    Fur-Hills-Aug2.jpg

And some early development in the town.

    Fur-Hills-Aug.jpg

    More on this town later...

Now everyone, try and guess the score of the Match between Gold Depra and the new team of Green Depra.  Can you guess the score and who will win?

    Thanks for reading... 29.gif

I really like the way those avenues are set up. They look like nice, relatively free-flowing arteries.

Nik-nik Thanks nic-nic, I used the Bike Path Lots  by 6459978, they are quite nice and realistic. Find them  Here.  I'm glad you like them!

Darmok Thankyou very much for your opinion and your gracious words! the red bricks are a love-hate thing, so I'm glad you still like the CJ dispite them! 2.gif
jacqulina Yes, I probably enjoy terraforming more because its unlimited and fun, but building is also good because there are so many things to build with and so many different styles.
louisville327 Thanks for your approval! I apreaciate it and I'm glad you like my patchwork trees!
Lord_Bertrum Thanks lord! PS, Little Britian is very funny! 5.gif
pipishere Welcome to Green Depra pipishere, I'm glad you like it and I hope you come back!
Spiritus Sanctus Hey! Welcome alswell, thank you. Now I use the Columbus Terrain mod and trees by Cycledogg. The trees and a version of the mod with snow can be found on the STEX here .  The one I use (i also use the trees on the STEX, don't download the ones from this link, they are old.) are offsite, here.
Exhagaga Hey, welcome I'm glad you like it now.  Sorry, I cannot seem to find the mod at the moment, it is a terrain slope mod, which makes the ANT have a very gentle slope great for building.  I'll have a look and try and get it for you. 48.gif
oroen Thankyou, I like to have natural looking roads.  Thanks for your guess on the game.
SC4 meister  Thanks so much man!  I love your coments, really appreciated!

Thanks oroen and SC4 meister for guessing, keep them coming. 9.gif What will the score be?

Great work! Though the red streets look a bit ... strange especially in rural areas I lile your farms and their layouts. BTW: how much traffic do you have on these avenues? I saw farms right next to the avenues and at least two shortcuts between the avenues but no dilapatıon ...? 30.gif
Also those teraced low rise redşdentials - great work!

Keep on with this and make backups!!5.gif

    Personal Comments!

hyped_up_boy Yeah, the red brick streets probably don't work the best in the agricultural area, I might try and change that, anyway thanks.
ChicAgo333 Welcome to the CJ and thanks for your comments, pop by again at any time!
pipishere Welcome back, and thankyou! I like a bit of colour in my cities!
Simworld 056132 Thankyou so much for your gracious comments!  Please pop by at any time!
Nardo69 Hey Nando, thanks for the advice, I made backups!  You are always very helpful.  Oh and well, the majority of the traffic come across a avenue that you cannot see on the top left. Not too many people cut through the farms, as most people who use those avenues are going straight from the right residential to the Industry on the left.  People coming from the north who use those highways are mainly going to the farms, the Industrial travellers from the north have a different ruit (the one I was telling you about above.)  Wow, I don't think that made any sence!
jacqulina Thankyou Jacquelina for popping by and for your comments!
sim1234 Thanks heaps sim!  Well, there isn't much of a story line but I like to throw the occasional thing in.  There was more of a story line at the start of the CJ. 2.gif
Darmok Thanks for the comment Darmok, I hope you enjoy the updates to come!

Thanks to everyone who left a comment, and keep guessing for the game because I will announce the winner in a few days.  Oh and I have an update almost ready, so expect it within the next day.

    Cheers, choco.

Chocolatemax: Surely, a CJ is true art. Especially, when it shows off unique stylings, such as yours.44.gif

Great work witht the Gif file too! Don't you just love it, when you find a new toy?!

I like seeing the mosaics most of all. Lovely to view that perspective.

The red streets and green landscape are complimentary. Although its not as realistic. It is highly unique. Like a place all its own.

I think if you could have decent snow in the game i could imagine it as being a nordic christmas village of somekind.

Thanks oh Chocolatey one! A very nice upate, I really like the way your neighbourhoods are set out.
I dont think the avenues fit in too well in parts, but I guess they're necessary!
As for the game, I predict, Green 2 Gold 0

Wow Chocolatemax  nice updates again. The rural and residential areas blend in wiith the environment quite well. Nice zooming in the fisrt 5 pictures.

First off those results. Although I would favour the underdog position of green, I hardly doubt they could make a stunt against the routine and experience of Gold. Although they start off as a stunt (0-1 at rest) Gold will put things right again in the second half. So Gold-Green: 2-1.
Phew, that's off my chest and just in time I noticed.

Thanks for the link. I missed these paths and they will fit my towns perfectly.

Very nice indeed! This CJ is very colorful and scenic ~ one of the best I've seen so far. Excellent sloping and relationship with the lay of the land. I was not a big fan of the brick streets/roads but your use of them make them look realistic and fitting to your unique vision. I will definately be stopping in to see more!

Update 10, wow 10 updates.. it feels like more!

A quick region shot, notice the development in the West and the South.

    Green-Depra-1130403485.jpg

Finally, the new Green Depra Government has aproved the major development of Green River into a major Residential city.

But now, the current transport overviews.

    Green-Depra-1130403458.jpg

    Green-Depra-1130403450.jpg

Now, the new town to the left of this map is called Fur Hills, which I touched on last update.  But lets go into it in new detail.  Basically its a new industrial township which was created to give the huge influx of people in Salt Bluff jobs.  It was created by the local council, and is a new industrial plaza, new to the entire Deprovian Nations.  It is an Eco-Industry land, which is a combination of farms, advanced secondary Industry and parks designed for buisness meetings and conferences.  And a first for all Depra, the Industrial park is pretty!

Thats all I've got on Fur Hills, this is a preview for the new development of Green River:

    Green-River-Apr.jpg

Sorry, thats all I've got for today.  I've been meaning to use post updates more, but I haven't got the time beacause my sister has been using the computer for her end of school exams, an apology goes out to everyone.  I will be able to update much more soon.  Its a long weekend (4 days this week) so hopefully 2 more update will be posted then. 2.gif

Now, the people of Green Depra are eagily awaiting the game, and there has been much celebrating in the lead up.  It will be a major occasion as it symbolises Green Depra becoming its own land.  The studium which the game will be played at is being prepared for the influx of traffic.  The game will commence very shortly.  Not a single Deprovian will miss this game, and what will the score be?

     Thanks for reading... 48.gif

frndofyaweh Thankyou very much, I look at it as art because it is made through creativity and I love doing it! I will make some more mosaics just for you and I do love finding a new toy, its very fun!
ElectroClash Thankyou, I like the unique style of my region, hmmm, a christmas village would be cool, maybe I could download Jeronji's snowcap Columbus mod... 1.gif
Exhagaga Yes, I'm not a huge fan of the avenues sometimes either, but they are necessary, thanks for your vote!
Nik-nik Thankyou, I lilke showing different zones, I like your ideas about the game.  I hope you enjoy those bike paths, I liked them!
Fabiocb Thanks, welcome and come back anytime.  I love mosaics and they are fun to make!

Rochefort Thankyou very much for stopping by! I'm a fan of colour and light! I think you spelled that right, I'll check! 18.gif
Dsrwhat316 Thanks, I wanted to create a flawless transition between all things, just like real life (kind of) I wanted the houses and town to merge with rural farms and all those merge with nature.  More like how life should be! 2.gif I hope you pop by again.

A huge thankyou to everyone who has commented!  Sorry for my slowness to update.  The game results will be shown in a special sport update soon.
