I played The Sims and even purchased The Sims Complete Collection. The game I have logged the most hours on in my lifetime is The Sims 2. I never bought the Sims 3 and have only played it on friends' computers. I recently tried to upload a mansion based off a low density R$$$ building from City Life (Suit House) but it got rejected last month and I have not made a third attempt at making it better.

But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11

I played the original Sims for maybe half an hour before getting bored with it.

Problem is, I'm not a people person and simulating people just isn't my thing. If I sit down to play a video game I want it to be an activity that specifically avoids having to deal with people.

Meanwhile, infrastructure and structures are more my thing, so games like SimCity and Rollercoaster Tycoon I found to be fun.

I don't always use it as a people simulator, I often times do it just to build houses. Like this one for example. I haven't released it due to RL and crashes... but I'm happy with it thus far.

Sometimes I do use it to simulate lives - that is the most fun in TS3 thanks to the open world.

I played an awful lot of TS2 a few years ago, but I haven't had any time to touch it in a while. Sometimes playing some games I used to like feels like work. I've actually been writing a TON over the last two years or so, probably north of 1000 pages of various silly fiction I may one day attempt to publish.

I don't always simulate people, but when I do, it's in Crusader Kings 2.

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

Ahh Crusader Kings... The only time I can say I murdered both my son and his oldest child because I liked my 2nd grandson best and not feel weird about it.

I never played TS2 or TS3, so I don't know if they fixed this, but one odd thing that bugged me about the original Sims: the men sit to pee. Why do the men sit to pee? Lazy animation crew...

They did fix that in TS2 and TS3. The animations in general improved greatly, and there are many more animations in general. Makes it a little more interesting. 2 years into TS3 (in 2011) and I saw an animation for the first time, something that didn't happen in TS1.

As far as PC games went, I played a lot of Quake 2 and 3, Unreal Tournament 2, Test Drive 5, and some others. Earlier games for PC were Heroes of Might and Magic 2, SimCity of course, and that's really all I remember. My sister and I played Wacky Jacks a lot when we had a Mac. That game was fun.

I can't believe I found someone else who likes Heroes of Might and Magic. I've only really played the third one, but it's one of my favorite games.

Yeah that was a fun game. The 2nd that is. I never played any others. I did play The Sims when it first came out. I got sick of it pretty quick.

The men would sit to poo and stand up to pee in the Sims Complete Collection and leave the seat up every time. The women would then shout/grumble and put the seat down when they used the toilet.

It's either leave it up, or I pee all over the seat. Their call.

I always leave it up in my apartment except when my girlfriend is over. I am the only one who lives here so that causes no issues.

Strictly speaking, it would be most efficient if everyone simply left the seat in the position in which they used it, this way if the next person needs it in the same position no effort is wasted. But women hate finding the seat up. I guess putting it down for them counts as chivalry...

Saw 7 psychopaths, bit hard to follow, and Christopher Walken is looking old.

I've actually never seen UHF from start to finish but I've seen bits and pieces. Odd because I think rather fondly of Weird Al. I forgot about 7 psychopaths. I'd like to watch that. Last night I watched Shaun of the Dead. Good flick.
