I haven't seen the Hulk movies but I did watch The Avengers. I didn't pay much attention though as I was at a friend's house and a guy I hadn't seen in a bit came over so we caught up. I watched Heathers last night. I hadn't seen it in years.

I'm really tired today. Also I was really thirsty. What's up with that?

While I've enjoyed the latest string of movies, I never got into comic books. Too hopelessly impossible to successfully read decades worth of weekly issue material.

Same reason I never really got into Star Trek. There's just too much of it out there. I don't have the time.

Well, you just have to jump in at some point and learn as you go.  I started really early at about 10 or 12 years old, but I didn't really know much about the older history of the characters until I was graduated from college, and, uh, working at a comic book store where I could read anything I wanted.  It's daunting to do, and if you already have a hobby it's understandable that you'd stay away.

I'm in the same boat as Duke. I did read Spiderman for a bit but that was in the paper when I was finished catching up on Calvin & Hobbes. I've never owned a proper comic book but I'm sure I've thumbed through a few here and there.

I never read comics in magazines. I have, however read graphic novels. --Ocram

It's in the Sunday Mail down here in Australia.

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

It always struck me as odd as a kid that the comic strip was called "Peanuts" (what does it have to do with peanuts?) while the TV show was more logically called "The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show".

I still love the Peanuts theme. I had it as my cellphone ringer but I just leave it on vibrate all the time now. Of course, the speaker is broken so it wouldn't matter either way.

Ah, one of those cases of the publisher wanting something different from the artist.

A classic example is the book Shoeless Joe. Apparently W.P. Kinsella originally wanted to call it something else, but the publisher overrode him. When it was made into the movie, Field of Dreams, the moviemakers had some concern that Kinsella would object to them changing the title - so they consulted him, only to find out he had no attachment to the title since it wasn't his, anyway.

Indeed, I enjoy baseball movies although not as much as the sport itself :P
