Ah - good to see that you tweaked the overall colour hue to better match the game's palette. Wonderful! The version before looked a tad too green IMO, and the new colour balance also helped a lot to make the copper flashing on top of the parapets much more prominent. I think some darker outlines around the roof junk would help to make those elements appear as integral part of the roof, but that's pretty much all I can think of in terms of improvement. Great job so far!

EDIT

Whoops, missed the page flip. Yes, I second what Amthaak said about the entrance portal.

Gorgeous work as usual Seraf. It looks like it's almost ready for texturing.

BTW, what happened to Bethseda Fountain? And are you planning to release your Central Park bridge props?

Thank you all, when I see that someone needs that type of buildings I have more motivation to work 9.gif

Hanson: I'm still working on Bethesda Fountain, I should be able to finish it after Custom House. About Central Park bridges, I have no idea how they fit in the game  15.gif

Update from Custom House: modeling is almost finished, only few things left. Of course besides textures there are sculptures in fornt of the building that, I'll add them at the very end of work 4.gif

Good to see you again Seraf! 4.gif Lovely bridges and the Customs House is looking great so far.

As for your CP Bridges and what to do with them, I think all of them would work out fine as parks with the last one being transit-enabled. Just an idea though.

Modeling is excellent and it will be a fine building once fully completed.

The roof texture is a tad repetitive, and Todd has a link in his signature that could help with making textures "un-tiled" that should help. 2.gif

I also think the decorative colored parts of the roof(red and green parts) could lower the saturation a tad and perhaps darken the contrast.

Also, if you need a roof image, here's the one from Google Earth Currently-
    20kzt6a.jpg

I can get some more by changing the current date on GE. Just let me know. 4.gif

Also, this might sound odd, but It might work out quite well- I think the facade texture overall could use a subtle-hint of color a light violet perhaps or some more blue.

So far though, we have a real winner! 2.gif

Looks great and still have a long way to go, theres not statues on this building and makeing ther I know are hard, hard to make, and you have to make a lot of them. I do have some pictures I hope to see the texturing at it's best.

I made modifications according to your suggestions. Here are the results:

    render-18-5.jpg

How now? ... Still need sculptures and some roofjunk...

Ah, IMO this is looking really good. 9.gif You got it for the roof now. Scultptures and some roofjunk like you said will do. Perhaps any other tweaks that come to mind should work too. 2.gif Marvelous work as always, seraf.

And thank you Aaron for those other pics. Mine wasn't the best...3.gif

I'm not liking the tiled roof texture, it doesn't conform to the shape of the building. Try to replicate what's shown in the picture - the concrete texture. I don't see tiles anywhere. I also think that the greenish detailing around the perimeter of the roof needs to actually be modelled - a renderable spline won't do the trick here. At the moment, the main part of the building looks fantastic, but the roof is lacking in comparison. Get that part right, and you'll have a monster of a BAT on your hands.

Not from where I'm sitting. See the difference?

    GreenRoof.jpg

It's not a just a straight line, there's obviously some sort of detailing going on there... unless it's a really weird optical illusion on the part of the photo.

Easy guys 2.gif That "renderable spline" - which is not renderable spline by the way - is just a base for the main ornament of cornice. I just haven't applied it yet 4.gif

A little preview of "Europe" sculpture, it's not finished but has main shape now, as you can see it is very small and I wonder if should make all four or maybe only two because I don't want to make all four and suddenly see that they look identical 2.gif

Looks great, I hope I can end up doing sculptures like that some day, I looks so hard to do and it looks like it takes days or maybe a week to finish.

Of course it's possible, why not? Here:

    render-21-5.jpg

You can see there is Europe with a book (probably atlas) and figure behind her that represents "ancient history". The are missing some elements like globe or throne but I'm working on it 4.gif

    EDIT: finished "Europe":
