Check out these colors plus you need to go darker I've seen JasonCW do this with andisart houses, so I gave it a shot

I think it's a good way to reveal the "truth" about the colors, but you also have to be careful about the changes the photo can bring.  In the photo the building appears to be in shadow (if it were in direct sunlight the fire escapes would be casting shadows), while the preview render is in direct sunlight.

This is AWESOME Aaron, your two buildings are just gorgeous. I can't not wait to have them in my cities.

But I think, the bricks texture of the small building, must be more clear than the big building. But this is an very small difference, but maybe interesting to doing an difference between the two buildings.

Vlasky- Thank you, I will see what I can do if the textures are darker or lighter. After looking at Jasoncw comment I will see what I can do if the bricks are lighter or darker.

 

Jasoncw- Your right, about the image, I will have to look on google maps for a direct sunlight view of the building.

The small buildding looks great but I think you could change the texture from behind  the entrance at the top of the BAT.

Sorry to double post, but here's an update on my other apartment building, still work to be done, I have to do more detail like the facade details and the ground floor for the building, but it's coming along slow.

Okay, I have added more stuff to the skinny building, you can see it in the render. What's missing is some pipes on the roof and I think that it for this version of the building.

How's the scale of the furniture on the building now?

It's still too big.

 

Think about the size of the chair that you're sitting in now and make it that size, and then go from there.
