You know guys, it's simply great what you accomplished here. The model is great, the textures are even more than great. And when I saw the nightlights I was just speechless.

And I'm really jealous about that "working effect" in fountain in front of the tower. Wish that community have more so great group-projects with that results. Once again - great work!

"Is it not cruel to let our city die by degrees, stripped of all her proud monuments, until there will be nothing left of all her history and beauty to inspire our children? If they are not inspired by the past of our city, where will they find the strength to fight for her future? Americans care about their past, but for short term gain they ignore it and tear down everything that matters. Maybe… this is the time to take a stand, to reverse the tide, so that we won't all end up in a uniform world of steel and glass boxes." - Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

All exporting is now complete! As soon as modding is done, it will be on the STEX.

    Some stats:

Day render time: Approx. 18 hrs.

    DarkNite render time: 14 hrs.

    MaxisNite render time: 18 hrs.

Final poly count: Approx. 14.5 million (flags and trees are what did it…)

Memory required to make the export work: 6-8GB

    In game size: 18x11 tiles (288 x 176m)

Max file size: 744MB (again, it was the damn trees!)

    SC4Model size: Dark: 14.4MB Maxis: 15.5MB

After it'll be uploaded, what will happen to this thread?

It'll probably turn into some sort of support thread or maybe people could post pictures of how they use the complex in their cities.

    Omigod this project is famed!

I was so blind, and the sides of him, not noticing it until now. Glad Christmas we will receive such a jewel as a supplement to our virtual cities and I will definitely use the UN building in the future.

744mb, yeesh! >.< And I thought the mere 65mb of my current project was a lot...I can't imagine how long that must take to open.

Totally worth it, however :P This thing is gorgeous!

It's now live on the STEX, get it while it's fresh! :ohyes:

It's a difficult lot to grow, but with sufficient demand and the right zone size (18x11) you should be able to get it... if you can’t there’s always the landmark.

(We'll be releasing a reward version in the new year too, watch out for that.)

So thanks everyone for your support and advice, I hope you like the final result. Feel free to use this thread to show us how you use complex in your cities if you feel like it.

It requires 8 GB to run? Holy...

I suspect it's the foliage that does it. Is there a possibility to release a version with less detailed trees? It would be nice to have it in a city without killing the poor computer.

No, it took 8gb to render I believe..not run..the games system requirements can never change.

Vlasky- That's normal it sometimes does that it's not a render error, it 's the LOD cut's as I'm sure you know the LOD is cut up in to many pieces, it's like taking a editable poly and convert it to editable patch

Cobraroll- I believe Cokoatoo means it requires 8 GB Ram to open the scene in 3ds max and to render it. :)
