Vlasky, there are still some areas on the Library and Secretariat that aren't textured (just because they haven’t been done yet) and the glass on the Conference / Assembly buildings plus their frames are in the same boat - everything else bar the driveway is textured. Some things (such as the unit on top of the Conference Center, the tents, the umbrellas, the dishes and some concrete textures just have a naturally flat appearance. Not really sure what you're talking about with regards to the fountain. Either way, it's done. I've spent enough time mucking around with it already. The texture I've got on there now is doing pretty much everything I want it to do. It's a little buggy in full shade but that only affects the East view and is mostly obscured by the spray anyway. If someone knows how to fix it (it's an Autodesk liquid using an ocean map for a bump and caustics) they can let me know, otherwise it can stay as is.

Girafe, the process for the hedge is pretty simple. Create editable poly in the shape of the hedge, apply subdivide, apply noise, apply smooth and then map a standard texture with a bitmap of a leafy texture and a nice bump map onto it.

It is getting better and better, the water in my opinion looks worse than before and so the spray, I also liked the previous tent texture better currently looks more like a pencil sketch to me.

well to be honest Cockatoo I think you getting there it's probably just some minor tweaking what you have to do, and for such an amazing project I think it deserves the extra effort...Nevertheless I am may also be wrong and you have totally nailed it, sometimes it is just a matter of personal preference...

I'm very disappointed, the fountain isn't animated. :D:lol:

More seriously, I like the fountain and it's the best you've done so far. Great progress!

This building looks absolutely amazing. Great work so far. :thumb: (And the fountain looks pretty good :P) Water is a very hard thing to pull off in sim city. Especially with an isometric view.

Honestly, I think the fountain is rather good. The ripples are still somewhat regular, but since they are toned down in the overall impression, that's not such a big deal IMO. The illusion of water works fine for me. It might be possible to make the fountain even better, but for me it's nowhere near a point where I'd say "the BAT could be released if it weren't for that fountain".

This is an absolutely amazing creation! The detail is just mind-blowing :D (Girafe, I think the 'grass' texture is supposed to be ivy, a ground cover or some sort of shrub - at least that's what it looks like in the large view)

Amthaak! The fountain... it's just beautiful. MUCH better than any of my attempts.

Now that I think about it, lowering the depth of the fountain to achieve better caustics shouldn't really be a problem. I can just boar a hole out of the driveway and set it back to the correct depth.

The ripples, distortion and caustics in your latest attempt are all just about perfect IMO, the only thing I would suggest is to shift the colour more towards a darker green brown - that's how it usually appears in RL. Btw, how does it look in the shade / at night? Does it do good night light reflections?

This is quite the undertaking. I normally wouldn't think to set aside space for such an enormous lot, but this is one of those buildings that forces me to want to include it in my city, just because it's so damn awesome!

That all, however, is not me implying that I expect it 'soon'. It's a tremendous effort, and well worth the time spent on it. :golly:

Well, you should expect it soon, in fact very soon.

The lighting is coming along; still some tweaking left to do here and there, but you should get the general idea. The glare hadn't been dialled in on that last preview. It's better in this one, but still not quite there. And yep, those are the flags of 134 nations. See if you can spot yours. :P

Now that you mention it yourself, yeah... the glare does look a bit too strong in some places, for example at the fountain or the entrance booth. All in all, those night lights really look fantastic.
