It has always been this way and if you more closely examine the lives of those who came before us you'll find that surprise surprise they're human and full of the same flaws and hopes and strengths as we have now.  Youth always gets a bad rap and new technology is always derided by those who cling to the old ways like there's some inherent wisdom in not reading the newspaper or not lighting the streets (to take a couple 100+ year old issues).

I liked the Cities Skylines! Even though I only played for a short time, I found the game interesting, the graphics are great, the gameplay seems to be good, and the game is "light years" ahead of SimCity 2013! So I "love it"...

Have you seen many slums in your life or have you seen none?

I lived in one before (until I was 5 years old; my family got resettled and from there it took off, that's why I'm here in Canada). I know it's pretty dirty and unfortunate and sort of dangerous because of the ruckus drunk/high/desperate people do, you this sense of community that you won't see anywhere. I think it's hard to recreate that feeling in the world of architecture. Sure it's great to remove these settlements, but at least take a study on how residents interact with each other.

Thanks to the release of Cities: Skylines, it was a good week. It would have been a better one if I could afford to buy a PC and the game. I hate my laptop.
