@Geometry- Well good luck with that. 1.gif

I have some pics of 22 Cortlandt Street-

HQ Render at Zoom5.

 The corner "columns" were for some reason not textured when I thought I had them selected when I applied it...odd. The only thing I have textured is the mullions, the dark areas between the windows and the columns seperating the windows. How's it lookin' guys?10.gif

@Darknono35-6.gif...wow...I have fallen in love with a BAT....36.gifAMAZING MY FRIEND!

Quick somebody slap me with a trout to snap me out of this BAT-ty love!!!

@Parisian and Francis90b- Looks like he's using 3ds.max I think...I know I couldn't do that in Gmax. My computer would melt!3.gif

@GuerilaWarfare-He's definately still around just busy with real life. I'm sure he'll pop in real soon4.gif. He sent me a message not to long ago with some of my BATs attached for a re-release.

I have some more texture work in progress with 22 Cortlandt-

2rwvkp0.jpg

Don't mind the roof texture...it was just there as a base. Oh yea and I'll add the mullions to the side too. I was saving that for later.

Darknono35: Damn! Have you every thought about how awesome you are? You should. Every five minutes. Can't wait to see it on the STEX!

Sgt Pepper: 10 Hanover Square, huh? I'll have to consider that one. It seems like it won't be too difficult to model and it can blend in well with an average city. 22 Cortlandt is looking pretty good, although basic at this point. For the space in between the windows, I'd suggest reading this article by Jason. Even if you don't use it, it's an interesting read. As is the rest of the blog. I'd also watch out for tiling textures, but you probably know that. UVW Mapping, the Gizmo modifier, all that. Now, get back to your job at that Sonic Popeye's so you make your minimum wage in beads and Cajun spices, and I can eat crawfish and jambalaya with special sauce (Gulf of Mexico oil!) during Mardi Gras with my French friends! Hahaha stereotyping is funny!!1!!!1!

Geometry: Good luck!

I suppose I'll post a BAT... although it's nothing compared to... that... Woolworth...........Building...........................

mcgraw1.jpg

Alright, I get twenty points right off the BAT for making a logo that took me 5 seconds in MS Word!

New stuff: Graffiti! Ventilation units! Roof access! Roof textures! Warehouse skylighting! Warehouse contents! Grass that's been killed!

Now, I suppose it's good enough for my own use in a hypothetical City Journal that will never be made, but what else should I do to make it even better?

That's all. Come up with your own remark here, I've run out of unique ways to wish you all a good week.

Jumpthefence- Looks good

Does any one know what is the Item Order for NYBT Landmarks because I thing the NYBT Landmark Buildings should be together, Because I am tired of going up and down the long landmark menu to find new york city Landmark Buildings.

And about the PNG file, How did Gwail or who ever get the custom picture into the PNG file. I would like to learn how to do this.

I agree with you Graham that would make it easier instead of having to scroll down the whole list of landmarks this would make building more quicker and easier because everything you need is in one place.

Please feel free to comment, like and/or subscribe to my New York City recreation CJ....Thanks *;)

@Jumpthefence- I read that article Jason wrote, that would fit more with Art-Deco or older styled buildings. This is is an International Styled Building that has no detail in the space between the windows. It was helpful to read, gives me some ideas with some Art-Deco buildings I may try... And sir, you have perfectly described the Louisiana lifestyle to the point that makes me suspicious that you actually live here or stalking me. Truly...epic.3.gif To make it look better? Hmm...well I'll try being Todd(with out being Russian) and see what I can do... I say that roof on the big metal shed could use some work...it looks like too many little lines...maybe messing with the UVW Mapping and perhaps make it look a little more old? I'd figure if it has some graffiti on itself it should have some dirt or rust.4.gif

And speaking of Todd...WHERE IS OUR RAGEFUL SOVIET FRIEND???

@Aaron- With the modding Gwail did to my St Nicholas Church, 130 Liberty Street, and One Brooklyn Bridge Plaza, they are at the end of the Landmark List. About the PNG File...I wouldn't know. I'm terrible at modding so I wouldn't know about getting the image files to replace the Lot Editor Image...something in Reader I believe...

And I just remembered how Home Insurance Plaza and the Downtown Club never got a custom query...

2mwfdbk.jpg

Again don't mind the roof texture, just a base to hid the solid color box thing... I tried adding the curtain things. How's it looking? And the wall texture...does it look tiled or repetitive? I can't notice it or see it...

EDIT: @halodragon1- I noticed on the STEX you uploaded a file with NYBT in the title...could you take that off the file name's title? NYBT stands for the New York BAT Team, and is used by team members. From what I know, you never asked to be part of NYBT, so why put that label in the upload?

@Darknono35- Thanks my friend!9.gif

@halodragon1- Thanks, and just don't use the label again(while your not on the team). And you can use the edit button if there was something you forgot to say in your post.

I've made some good progress this morning on 22 Cortlandt-

2na6umv.jpg

This is just my overall progress. I started on the base, added the muillions on the sides, and added more window shades(still not done with those). I also remembered to add self ilumination to the glass, not sure if it's noticeable.

Close up at the top.
