btw, i know it's been done at least twice before, but I started working on the Lever House last night. If gmax can handle it, I'll add in the buildings to the west of it because I the Lever House is a L shape and I hate large overhangs. They tend to screw up LODs which makes parts of buildings magically disappear. After that, my plan is to start working on the massive glass-box and international style buildings between the Helmsly Building and the Waldorf Astoria. Sound good?

The one on the LEX is based on the lever house and the scale of the one Hanson made was a little off for my SC4NYC. I actualy tried using a program to scale up Hanson's model, but it made it pixelated. Anyway, to make mine a little different I'll try to include the buildings next to it so the lot won't have any overhang.

Yeah, there's a lot of Lever Houses around, but none of them are definitive. Sometimes I think about doing it, but since it's an L shape (I never realized!) I'll probably never bother.

There aren't and LOD problems with unusually shaped or overhang buildings, you would just need to make a custom LOD that fit the building better than the automatically created box. All you do is delete the old LODs, make a new object that is what you want the new LOD to be (however you want to model it), and rename it LOD5, 4, 3, and it will be the new LOD. I think there's a bit about LODs in the BAT - Mega FAQ, I'm not sure.

@PBGV103: doing the Lever House is an excellent idea; the two versions already available on the STEX somehow don't really fit in so well, although they are very good work.

@Darknono35: splendid idea about making it diagonal and VERY promising list...

Would anyone else on our team be interested in BATing the former Alexander Hamilton U.S. Customs House(now a museum for the American Indian)?

It's in Lower Manhattan. I'd do it myself, but it's too complicated for me.

Rene- Thanks! I'm going to start on the base of 22 Cortlandt soon...the work on the back blank wall then finish up with the night lighting so the BAT may be released soon.

Sgt Pepper - The roof of 22 Cortland is starting to look very nice. I think some (more) details would do the trick. I was thinking about making US Hamilton Custom House and it's on my to-do list, but with lower priority. Now i'm working on Metropolitan Club Building:

Sgt Pepper- WOW!!!!!!!! that building is heavly detailed, people like Seraf and Sim Fox and thats just to name a few, need to make a tutorial on how to make the details on buildings like that. All I can say if you you can make that building with the details on it you can make anything, and I mean anything, at that point you should be a true artist and architect.
