Lloyds is going to be a masterpiece, what did you make of Leadenhall 122, or the cheesegrater as it's colloquially known. I follow London construction quite fanatically, the skyline is going to look very different in 10 years.

Oooh, the Gherkin! I suppose you are well aware that there is an old BAT of it. Seeing a new version with the full power of 3dsmax, BAT4Max and your BATting skills behind it certainly sounds tempting!

@T Wrecks: My dear friend, I think it's 2013 and It's time to bring the Gherkin a good facelift.   But hey, I'm not yet at the end of my pain.

I miss references for the base to see how the foot of the building are embedded in these small recesses. If someone is in London and he can take pictures all around the base of the building, I would be very grateful.

Ooh nice London models. Since we both seem to be BATing buildings from London, we could form some kind of acronym for the buildings since people seem to like doing that on this site. As far as getting pictures, theres a section over on SC4D for asking about that. I posted there and got some really nice pictures of the Shard from Diggs. You might get lucky too. Heres an example of the kind of stuff i got from him:

Are you using an enviroment map? If so you should move away from this and use a ground pane which is invisible to the camera. Lloyds si coming along nicely..

 

Intrigued to how you will do the glass for the Gherkin..hopefully some glass experts will asssit.

 

As for the architecture..each to their own of course, but with both these buildings I think you can only really appreciate them in RL.. think they are both most impressive.
