I'm glad that the cow was captured and sent away. It ate all of our flowers and left it's turds in the garden! I was going crazy! 46.gif

I hope Sherlock Holmes can find out who murdered the two scientists, and I hope that the robotic vessel lands on Opall safely. I wonder what the meteor's secret is...

Yes, I also like the convention centre. Just one question-how did you get to place the convention centre in th Nexis Islands if there is no population there. Wouldn't it have to be placed in Nexis City?

It isn't the normal convention center included with simcity, I think it might be a BAT he made, and I like it too.

    Sorry, the weather was nice here in Quebec the last week, just like spring, so I was busy with a lot of outside things to do. Now we're back to snow, something like 6 inches are expected in the next 24 hrs.

    On Saturday I will have a big update of the Second biggest City on Genesis: Nexis City, also we have a look at its big industrial neighbor of Cedarville.( There we will visit a little boy called Octavius Augustus Sobchak, who just plans a big future for himself already).... That'll have to be uploaded in 2 or maybe 3 parts.......46.gif....aren't you anxious to see it?25.gif

    (The *Convention Center* is a ploppable Batlot, that's why it was easy for me to put it there.)

    Vallen Nexis decided to have it built in the Nexis Islands Region, because the nature is so unspoiled there, and this was meant for everyone to enjoy.

    See you soon2.gif

    While waiting for the weekend's upload, probably on Sunday, here is a teaser.21.gif41.gif
    Here is  Nexis City and its industrial neighbor,Cedar Bay.

    As I said before Nexis City is now the second biggest City, right after Gloryville, the Capitol, but by a few hundred residents only.

    On the weekend , we will have a good look in all details of Nexis City, its Suburbia, Cedar Bay and its northern Neighbor of Crater's Notch, just on the riverbanks. A new harbour on Genesis was built, right here in the large Tenzel River's Inlet to the Nexis Lakes.
    It was logical to have a harbour here, because of all the Industries  that are still coming in like ants from Uru.

    .......................................

    EDIT: I took away the picture, it changed somehow...............and anyways, no need for a teaser, we have the originals further down!

    .......................................

    I have just heard from Uru, that the landing of Joao's unmanned vessel on the Meteor was a success. What a relief for Mr Otavio. Champagne was offered to everyone onboard the mother vessel. (is that allowed?)47.gif

    We talk about this and the capture of the three murderers of the Grand Falls scientists, later this weekend. Good Job Mr Sherlock Holmes!2.gif

    Edit:  I just finished editing the pictures and I am surprised. There will be 33 pictures! I guess I have to do this in 3 uploads with my connection.46.gif

    Hey, nice update, this just keeps getting better!

    Here's something that happened to my character... while playing with some, er, electrical... utilities, I hurt myself and now have a crescent-shaped scar on my cheek. (Thought it might come in handy if I'm ever involved in dark storylines 22.gif ).

    Keep going!

    Now, this will be the longest update ever and it will be in two parts, one right after the other. So after this post, please be patient, the rest will come. Make sure that you will have some free time.......

    Gloryville and Tenzel Outlet will be right after a couple of more posts about other townships in the following line:
    1-White Sands and Oxalis/Megantic
    2-Syris (north of Oxalis)
    3-Axis Harbour
    4-Tenzel Outlet
    5-Gloryville......of course it will be the last,simply because I spent more time in this City than anywhere else, only to make it attractive, astonishing and interesting. Hey....it's the Capitol of Genesis,no?
    Right after we will start hearing more of the *Next Generation* and in a couple of posts after we will be right into their lifestories, continuing building the Genesis Region and beyond!

    Here it is: Cedar Bay and Nexis City.

    Almost in the middle of the Genesis region, The cities of Cedar Bay and Nexis were both built on private land, that was owned by the Millionaire Vallen Nexis, son of the Inventor of the LBST (Light-beam Space Traveler) Daight Nexis.
    Still owning parts of the Cedar Bay and Nexis area, Vallen Nexis is also the sole owner of the famous and beautiful Nexis Island, which one part we had the pleasure to see and admire not long ago (where the Nexis Convention Ctr was built).
    Nexis City, devided in two townships, but ruled under the same administration and Mayor, has passed its 275,000 population mark and consists of Nexis City (left)and Nexis Suburbia (on the right)

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//1GenesisNexisRegionMap.JPG align=baseline>
    The whole City with its suburbs is located on an island, the biggest one in the Nexis Lake area, spreading over five different townships: On the Main part of this island is Nexis City with its round lake right in the middle and the big hill, where Vallen Nexis now has his domain, on the left it continues into the county of Cedar Bay, only a small part though; on the right of the City is Nexis Suburbia, slowly invaded by the downtown also and on the bottom, the island reaches a part into the Nexis islands,which themselves are made out of three townships. All owned by Vallen Nexis himself and Nexis Corpoation.
    Cedar Bay also is devided into two parts, Cedar Bay itself and Crater's Notch north of it, where the harbour of Nexis is. Crater's Notch so called because of a semi-dormant volcano right in the middle of the Tenzel River inlet (note: not Tenzel Outlet,which is completely in the east) is now still governed by the administration of Cedar Bay.
    Here on this transportation map, we see that a highway (Hgwy 5) was built to reach the heart of the industrial country in Crater's Notch. Also we admire the view of Vallen Nexis with his new home. From here, he can see the smoke rising from Cedar Bay's Industries,he can see down the Snake River Valley, the Bay of Horseshue and the complete view of Nexis City down to the Nexis Islands on a clear day.
    Well, some have it and some don't....we all have to live with that,right?....lol.
    In Crater's Notch, the northern part of Cedar Bay, a road and a rail were already laid to reach the mysterious Ganoga Valley and its many townships, 14 of them I think. A future project that the Regional Administration in the Capitol has started looking into, is the opening of these counties for the civilization and immigration.
    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//2GenesisNexisRegionTransport.JPG align=baseline>
    Let's start with Cedar Bay, some call it also Cedarville, so don't be surprized when I call it so also sometimes. Cedar Bay started out when Nexis City's Mayor ,Vallen Nexis at that time, prohibited the construction of Industries. Demand was enourmous and finally Mr Nexis gave in and sold Cedar Bay to the regional Office. At the same time a Highway ( hgwy 2) was continued to the far western counties and to connect to another region in the west. Going right through the middle of the Township of Cedar Bay, it wasn't long before the industries arrived and a town grew within 18 months. Still growing today like crazy and of course helping Nexis City to grow even more also.
    A Highway connection was built here in the middle of the county, to connect with the northern Neighbor of Crater's Notch and to have quicker access to the great City of Nexis City, where 75 % of the population comes from that work here.
    On the bottom of this picture we can see the low-wage worker's district, which have invaded this area.
    Industries here and in Crater's Notch are owned mostly by folks and companies , which live in Nexis City, but also a few live elsewhere, such as an example of the Swamper signs Ltd, a filiale that Mr Swamper from Gloryville. By the way, Mr Swamper has been elected to become one of the 13 Rulers. He was on Number two Counsel seat in Tenzel and in the Capitol for the last 8 years and now aged at 53 years old, he is taking care of the Regional Politics as the youngest Ruler ever elected.
    His 2 daughters,Chlo

    ...second part, ouf...(this is worse than working..lol)46.gif

    If you have an excellent paid job and can offer yourself the side of the better half of life, you should live in this part of Suburbia, where only the biggest Industry and Commerce owners live. Highly surveyed by the Sherlock Holmes Security, this is the top of City-living.
    Here is where Jim, our Mansion specialist worked for the last time, and made another small fortune. At the age of 63, he is now retired and only looking into his business once in awhile, where his Sons Kegan and Sam take his place in this one of the biggest Construction Company on Genesis. Jim's daughter,Kristina, is working at the Bolton University in the Science department,teaching the basics of science, which is also her hobby, while she goes a lot of times to her father's township of Grand Falls to study the Ganoga Valley with other fellow scientists there. Jim himself is about to build his dreamhouse in Grand Falls and concentrates a bit more on his valley and falls to maybe make something for the touristic interest, but without disturbing the beauty of his county.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//17Nexis-RichFolks.jpg align=baseline>
    Residential lots are in great demand in Nexis Suburbia, easily understandable with the acces to a great City and employment of any choice.Many newcoming families from Uru have already applied for the immigration to these parts of Nexis City.
    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//18NexisApparts.jpg align=baseline>
    What can be more attractive to live near one of the most beautiful botanical Gardens and beside a Garden Center that offers a flowering smell all year 'round.? Nothing to my knowledge anyways....unless maybe living inside the garden?
    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//19Nexis-Park.jpg align=baseline>
    A  beach became a necessity when the Mayor found out that some of the citizens started pic-nicking on the Turtle Bay. Now with a beautiful beach in reach of everyone, the City added also a Marina and some playgrounds for sports and pleasure, and this only less than 15 minutes from Downtown.
    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//19ANexisBeach.jpg align=baseline>
    And what is a City without a Starbucks? Dr Evel's 17th Starbucks is situated right in the middle of a small commercial community surrounded by the Residential and Commercial Giants and not to far from the Boulevard that separates the City in half.
    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//20Nexis-Starbuck.jpg align=baseline>
    Here we have a part of the City at night. See the small harbour and the beach on the bottom right? ...and the natural conservation Park of the Bay?

    Yes.....unrecognizable but true, this is Nexis City, the second biggest City in population of GenesisWe see the home of Vallen Nexis and his family, which at one point owned all the land you see here.
    Of astonishing Beauty this part of the Main Island of the many Nexis Islands, has drawn people to it ever since it was first discovered by the young and adventurious Vallen Nexis, many and many years ago. He bought the whole area of the Nexis lake and its islands from the Rulers, money that he inherited from his father Daight and which was much appreciated by the New world Rulers at that time. Still owning most of the land, the Nexis family rents it or keeps it for natural conservation. The income from the Nexis Corporation is so immense , that the owner himself, Vallen , cannot count it by himself. The income only from the LBST at the rate of 6,000

    Nice work! The downtown area looks interesting (and I notice an NDEX building in there).

    Mr.B, sometimes you scare me. Every day (or at least week) I can visit Simtropolis and know that there is something new in the Nexis of Genesis section. This is the standard for city journals. Congratulations.
