So I just came back from an extended vacation

I'm dropping by, remember me? Anyway, I just now noticed that the Simtropolis logo is gray and blurry but more noticably, a wrecking ball has come into view.

I remember the fire hydrant from ST, but the wrecking ball? So it came into my mind...

Grayscale

plus

wrecking ball equals

???

I remember when BSC pulled out, and everyone grayed out their avatars! The prominence of the wrecking ball suggests that Simtropolis would be demolished, and rise, as, I don't know, a Cities XL website?

Can anyone explain?

~ COMING SOON! Exciting new projects! ~

Welcome back LivingInThePast! Yes, I remember you. 2.gif

There's sort of a mystery surrounding the wrecking ball on the grayed-out ST banner. Rumor has it that Dirk (the webmaster) is planning on updating ST to version 6.0 (this is 5.0), but we have yet to have any conformation about this.

I can assure that this site will not be "demolished" any time soon, and that it has nothing to do with the gray avatars or teams like the BSC pulling out.

Like un1 suggested, check out the thread he linked for more information about the banner. Change is in the air, but no one knows what it will be or when it will come.

All the best,

-Haljackey

Nah.  It was Strider's idea.   He wanted more yard room.   3.gif

Not at all.  I'm sure Strider thought it through very thoroughly.   18.gif

    "Pulling out"

lol, that word is one of those terms we use that makes this community seem more important than RL. My favorite of those would be "E-war".

Ill believe ST 6.0 when I see it. I am very excited for it though. Do we know anything about it other than its coming? will it feature the return of the short-lived City Journals feature dirk tried out a few days in 2006? 43.gif

Edit: love the new banner btw.
