Wow this is great stuff! A strip club?!

Some parts of the grid system look to be similar to Lincoln, NE

Can't wait for more!

Thanks for the comments everyone.  Here are some replies...

    revelstokelogohu9.jpg

hunkske: Thanks for the comments, however a cathedral that size, although it may be a little large is practical in many suburbs.  For example Regina Metropolitan Cathedral is located in the Cathedral Area.  I will look at some other churches though.  I'm glad you like the twin lakes area, I'll feature a couples pictures in the next update.

sedimenjerry: Thanks for the comments.  I actually wrote that to see what people would say.  I actually wondered who was reading the text boxes.  At least you are.

LTLT_17: Thanks for the comments.  Great game last night eh?

Schulmanator: Thanks for the comments, that's another goal of mine.

Bartonn: Thanks for the comments.  It's great to see someone here from Lethbridge, AB.  Great city you have there.

Heres, just a picture I made.  I don't like to post too often without posting a picture as well.  Enjoy...

    Any comments are appreciated.

    Cheers.

Oh, haha well yes, I was reading!

Nice bridge by the way. May I recommend turning off the grid when you take a picture though?

Meh...when the arch bridge uses more than two arches, it looks ugly. Maybe replace it?

    You're decision though...2.gif

Nice suburbs! The bridge looks good too. Whilst I agree with Godzillaman about the arch bridge looking better with only 1 arch, I don;t think it looks ugly here. I like the way the curve carries through to the next arch.

Wow nice, I like your downtown and suburban areas. The region view looks great too and it looks like your region is well-planned out.

Thanks for the comments everyone!  I am heading to Pemberton BC as of tomorrow.  I will try to squeeze in a few pictures but no promises alright.  I will be gone for a week or so but when I get back I will be updating this regularly again.  I don't want to see this thread at the bottom of the CJ list tho.  Have a great weekend guys.

Wow that festival lineup looks bad! Saved only by Interpol and the Flaming Lips!! If it takes place with that backdrop though, I'm suitably jealous!

You're off to one great start with this CJ. I'm not surprised, because this is some excellent, quality work! 2.gif

Yup, it is quality work alright. Nice effects to the pictures, they all look very clear and crisp. That's one of the many things that I really like to see in a CJ. Looking back at the previous pages, I also noticed the good amounts of traffic (thanks, SA 3.gif) and custom content you've applied to Revelstoke. The region maps are all nice, especially with future development plans all mapped out. Lastly, kudos for using Gizmo's Night Mod, it's really much better than Maxis's. Keep it up, I'll definitely be back for more! 9.gif

Have fun at the music festival, that's quite a lineup. 4.gif

Did you guys actually think I was going to leave you for 8 days without an update to say goodbye?!

    revelstokelogorz5.jpg

    Heres come replies first.

penguin007: Thanks for the comments, I'm glad you like my suburbs.  Heres some more in this update.  Enjoy!

sedimenjerry: Thanks for the comments, I will take off the grid when I'm doing scenic shots but not when I'm building my city and taking my pictures.  Sorry, it's one aspect of Sim City I am defensive over.  I'm glad you like the bridge though.

Godzillamn: Thanks for the comments. I'll start to look at different bridges.  If you see any you like PM or tell me in a comment on here!  It would be really appreciated.  However, I think the arch bridge looks fine so far.

psander5: Thanks for the comments, as I said to godzillaman I will look for different bridges but if you know of any let me know as well.  I'm glad you said it doesn't look ugly in the picture above.

dfnva: Thanks for the comments!  My region is really well planned out.  I bet you'll be excited what I have planned for the other side of the bridge.  I think I said too much haha.

anarchy0029: Thanks for the comments, hope to read you comment on the next update.

psander5 (2): Sorry you don't like the line -up but it does take place in Pemberton, British Columbia.  Which is that backdrop.

ky72x: Thanks for the comments.  What an excellent comment I must say.  All the crisp, clean pictures you can give thanks to my video card and CS3.  Like I said in my opening post I have downloaded numerous content of the Collector's Edition CD's it really pays off!  I'm glad you like the region as some people have said it is kind of bland.  But there isn't much else you can do to a region view...right?  The night mod is amazing as well.  Thanks Gizmo!

Wow nice suburban areas and I really like those houses you used.

Hope you enjoy the concert. I've never seen the Flaming Lips live, but I've heard that they do a phenomenal live show.

This is the first time I have commented yet not my first visit to your cj.  Love it! Revelstoke is awesome. There are so many great areas....love the Large Stadium District, and the Lake Districts.  It is enjoyable to revisit  to read all of the updates.  Will be back to see more as it is posted.  Nice work on this region!

    Looking good as always, rusty_777!

Nice use of big-box stores and sports complexes! They look right at home in the suburban setting.

I also noticed you use ploppable water. It really adds to the look and feel of the area. Nicely done!

    Best,

As usual, great update! I really like the way you have built up your suburb - not at all griddy - and lots of greenery! Hope you had fun at the concert in BC, am heading to Van myself in August ;o))

Not to worry, I'm lurking around here quietly. 9.gif

Anyway, it's developing very nicely... you can't really tell where the city line ends [and that's probably a good thing]... apart from the fact it's under construction... 3.gif So, some trees are covered in toilet paper despite there being a cop shop (or two) nearby.

Speed cameras. Yay. But your roads are too nice to only travel at 60kph on... 3.gif

Wow, I've missed a lot of updates. Twin Lakes is simply gorgeous! So realistic! I love those suburban retail areas too; everything fits together so perfectly.

    I really like your city!

I'd like to ask where you get that mod that adds the streets with custom trees. 4.gif

PS Revelstoke is also a town in British Columbia! 3.gif (If you already know)

Another top-notch update. 4.gif Those two new developments both look mighty good. The zoomed-out shots really caught my eye, that's a lot of suburban sprawl, not to mention an abundance of trees! Of course, the retail developments are nice to. I especially liked the custom parking lot entrances for the Applebee's and Wal-Mart. 9.gif
