NOTE: Volume 3 replies will be there when replies are made. Thanx.

Hester I am glad you approve

Korot Well, the boldness in the CJ will come when the intrepid explorers sail right off the edge of the map when they head east.

Leech10 You can't lose with ketchup. Although the best sauce of all time is McD's sweet and sour.

NMUSpidey I will pass on the buffalo wing sauce... I am in the mod for teriyaki wings today.

Leech10 The pi symbol showed up when I did the actual entry, but it would not show up on ST. So, when it gets placed in the archive, it will have the [pi] instead. But, it is nicer with more digits... I like the 3.14159 better.

Hester Thanks. July has been a busy month for the website - already as many views as it had in June. A lot of people have come to see the state visit pix. If anyone hasn't, be sure to stop on by!

Korot The Dutch translations are doing well. For some of the more recent entries, like the exclusive updates, the Dutch is running neck-and-neck with the English version.

Leech10 That's only because I put in just the top 25. The Muphridish index has had 36 views already.

Abcvs I like frosty ferns; part of a complete breakfast! Mmmm.....

Victor Valdes Thanks! I hope you enjoyed the cake and had some ice cream to go with it.

Korot A man after my own heart!

Hester Made from 100% pure Busscastle chocolate!

TmiguelT Chocolate is nature's most perfect food!

Korot More cakes are on backorder.

Hester With this hungry crowd, better make it 2 or 3 more!

    Korot She saved the day!

NMUSpidey And the first update is coming up soon...

Jacqulina Thanks! Please stop by and see the new and future home of Schulmania.

Korot I am not going to go back and report all Vol 1 & 2 updates there because it takes too long. Instead, I would refer anyone to the Simtropolis Archive on the Schulmania website. They are all there and in sequence.

Leech10 In which case, those squirrels had better pay me admission!

TmiguelT ZJ is truly a wascawwy wabbit! No wonder he is the highest ranking rabbit in Schulmania!

TmiguelT Those pesky PFBs! Someone get the bug spray!

What's coming up next: A cross-post to Vol 3, the fourth volume of the Newcomer's Virtual Guide to Schulmania. It has been a long, long time since I made one of these. It will be similar in format to the other guides I have made and include 19 (or so) smaller pix of Schulmania during the time period in question.

Again, welcome, everyone, to Volume 3 of Schulmania. See Volume 3 here!

As Schulmania now spans almost 400 pages in three volumes and has a slew of updates, newcomers may not be fully aware of the rich heritage of Schulmania. So, here’s a brief guide of the essentials for any Schulmania fan. Each era in Schulminion history is give its own annotated narrative with embedded links to the background of Schulmania. So, whether you started reading on page 1 or page 321, you will be fully aware of what is going on, who is who, and why things are the way they are. This is essential for long time readers, as there is a massive story arc which is slowly but surely unfolding.

    newcomer4collages1.jpg

Schulmania had discovered the great salt ocean to the east. Frontier outposts in eastern Devonshire quickly grew into towns. Over time, the eastern towns stagnated as the governor shifted resources to the district capital. Development in East Devonshire has been hampered by the inept rule of its governor, shifting eastern ocean development to East Atkinos.

    newcomer4collages2.jpg

The Grand Duchy of East Atkinos is centered around its capital, West Forest. Ably led by Fleet Captain Splunt, East Atkinos has capitalized on the stagnation in East Devonshire by establishing its lone seaport at Woods of Wayne, the City of Flowers. The region was first settled at East St. Paul, a town most noted for its landmark church and distinguished university. The only exception to the general prosperity of East Atkinos is the town of Oras, founded by a dissident group led by the charismatic and enigmatic Llama Larry.

    newcomer4collages3.jpg

Just as much action was taking place on the western frontier. The Tenne Sea had been tamed for years, but no western shore had ever been found. Admiral Hestorb developed a fleet of strong ships to sail against the prevailing winds. Her discovery of the mainland to the west opened a new frontier for development and encouraged Schulmania to name a town in her honor. The new Kingdom of Tenne, founded in the western lands, developed several towns quickly and established a temporary capital at Knoxvegas. Tenne includes the mouths of two mighty rivers. The Tenne River delta has several islands, many of which have been preserved as natural areas. Growth and prosperity led to intense development across the nation.

    newcomer4collages4.jpg

The south became the most populous area in Schulmania after the establishment of a new Wirdleonia capital at Robinia. Robinia became the largest city in Schulmania and spurred the growth of towns in the Wirdleonian Plains, including Tanagiers to the east, Belva Dear to the north and Schulmanukau to the west. Schulmanukau was developed after the source of the Wirdleonia River was found to the very southwest and inspired by a state visit to Schulmauckland.

Hester, why do you double post? And it tends to happen in the new CJ section that you can't type/post your comment. If you'd refresh the page, you should be able to post a comment, if you still can't, do a power refresh, and if that doesn't work, contact an admin.

    Regards,

    Korot

After the implementation of the SDI by ZJ, squirrel militancy has been diminished. No longer can they dominate bird feeders and steal all of the seed and keep birds away. The militant wing of the Squirrel Union, the Acorn Liberation Front, has been discredited. A new line of reasoning seems to be emerging from a series of closed door meetings held in the secret treetop nest HQ. More about this new approach will be in Schulmania Volume 3 after source information has been confirmed.

    Schulmania's Wild Kingdom!

There's always activity of all sorts in Schulmania - the wildest CJ in town! What's up tdoay? All sorts of residents have stopped by to get their brief moment of stardom. Interestingly enough, Agriculture Commissioner Zelgadis Junior was off today, so his able assistants Bugs Junior and George Junior showed up to take care of the greens today. Bugs Junior had the morning shift and George Junior showed up to relieve him in the afternoon.

    bugsjr1.jpg

    bugsjr2.jpg

Bugs Junior is known to be very diligent about his job...

George Junior is posing for his first picture today

    georgejr2.jpg

Just because he is smaller than the other bunnies doesn't mean he gets less done.

    georgejr3.jpg

He is a hard worker and says his rabbit ears can indeed pick up digital televison signals.

    bd35.jpg

Crop maintenance is a full time job!

Meanwhile, ZJ's personal assistant, Mr. Chippy, was busy important agricultural data for a report ZJ is giving to the Supreme Wirdle next week. Preliminary data on the catnip harvest is needed.

    mrchippy1.jpg

Mr. Chippy is always looking out for ZJ

    mrchippy2.jpg

I am not sure what Mr. Chippy filed here, but I am sure it must be something vital to the project...

    bd2-1.jpg

The catnip harvest is coming along well

Preliminary reports indicate that ZJ's SDI (Seed Defense Initiative) has been successful in addressing the purloining of food from the bird feeders across Schulmania by malevolent squirrels. Frustrated, the squirrels have turned against the militant teachings of Gen. Nutsy McAcorn and his seed stealing Acorn Liberation Front. They have turned to a new leader with a fresh, new approach to gain them seeds:

    51ESQAWW3XL._SL500_AA280_.jpg

The Nutty Professor's approach is to use comedy to gain seed as payment for laughs. So, please welcome the LOL SQUIRRELS!!!

Let's hope that the squirrels have put their militant past behind them and can now peacefully coexist with their bird neighbors.
