Archean My neighbor has seen deer in her yard but I have yet to see any here. The neighbor kids claimed they saw a raccoon yesterday. I saw a bat circling overhead the night before last. It's a jungle out there!

Leech10 Believe it or not, I have seen tarantula racing before - when I was in the Dominican Republic. Kids would go find them at night under rocks and then race them along the sidewalk.

Leech10 Well, each is a head of state. But, since Nekominkoku has merged with New Carpathia and Lynx is Vice Lord, that would mean that the Supreme Wirdle has a higher level of office, since she does not share power with anyone, though she does delegate it.

The Wirdle has more power, most definitely. Nekominkoku, since merging with Carpathia, has the special designation of state within a state, much like Scotland in Britain or Quebec in Canada. They generally have a much higher degree of autonomy compared to the other areas of Carpathia. They have their own separate requirements for permanent residency, maintain their own military, and make their own laws (so long as they do not conflict with the Carpathian constitution). The Pharaoh is 3rd in line of succession, behind the Lord and Vice-Lord. The Pharaoh becomes Lord of Carpathia should something happen to the two of them.

They are considered citizens of New Carpathia. It's mainly the above areas where things are different.

Schulmania's lolducks

It has been quite rainy here as of late. And, when it rains, the ducks are out. I saw this pair of ducks at Walmart and I had the camera with me. So I took a few pix of them as they hung around in the mulched area in the parking lot. Then, they crossed the street right at the white line (and in a straight line, no less) and walked right up near the entrance of the store before they took off. Upon viewing the pictures, I amused myself by coming up with some captions. Thus, the lolducks were born. I am going to post my pix and the captions. You can either tell me if you like my captions or come up with better ones and post them. If you have new captions, be sure to tell me which pix they go with. The best caption for each picture will be put on the pic a la icanhazcheezburger style for your amusement. Let the games begin!

Von Bremerhaven Day Proclaimed

WOODS OF WAYNE, EAST ATKINOS (Feline News Network) Residents of Woods of Wayne, where Fleet Captain von Bremerhaven has based his eastern fleet, have proclaimed May 29th to be Von Bremerhaven Day to commemorate the fleet captain's birthday. Festivities include a parade and a festival. Free hams from all over the realm will be served to all partiers and special performances by the Pride of the Southland Band from Knoxvegas will highlight the day. It is expected that a special proclamation from the Supreme Wirdle will also expand the fleet captain's role in the eastern maritime region.
