Y'know, it's really too bad there are only so many ways to say your work is awesome. My favorite one is the one where the person saying the compliment says something to the effect of "Wow, you just hit the AWESOME button, didn't you??" That one always cracks me up.

Wonderful! Excellent! Great! None of the above words can describe your cities. They're not worthy to describe the quality of your region. In the 8th picture on the 1st update (once again I missed an update) you mention a tunnel. Trouble is, I don't see it! Where is it?42.gif

And the second update looks oddly familiar. Is it deja vu?

    politicman: Hey, thanks a lot!

hamish:  Ya, sorry about that.  I will fix that.  Thanks for the comment!

edmonton_stinks: Okay, okay, I see it, LOL!  Glad you like the skyscrapers!

    Patricius Maximus: Awesome, thank you!

jacqulina:  Thats great!  Glad you like the transport system and the buildings!

NMUSpidey:  I understand, and I appreciate your "appreciation" of this CJ.  Thanks a lot!

Shingure:  Okay.  Any problems, let me know!

Voulpiotis: Wow, thanks!  Glad you like it!

kj3400:  Just like what NMUSpidey said?  It means a lot, thanks!

-About the tunnel, it is near the bottom right of the image.  Just follow the highway until it disappears below the forest.

-Like I said, its okay if you miss an update.  I don't have a schedule for this CJ, so updates could come weeks apart of there could be 3 in a day!

mrtnrln:  Thanks a lot!  Glad you like the region!

    Update time!

Its time for me to show you one of the Greater Terran Region's (GTR's) famous bridges!  This is the first time I've ever shown a bridge in this CJ, so I hope you like it!

The Mighty Mouth Bridge is a long suspension bridge spanning 6 lanes that connects the two parts of the city together via a highway linkup.  It sees a lot of bus and commuter traffic.  There is also a subway line and ferry link for other connections across the "mouth" of the basin.

I hope you enjoy the pictures!

    Picture Information:

    NOTICE:  Please Read!

Before I post some pictures of my cities, please know that I strive for the best quality of my images possible.  Every picture from here on-in is not photoshopped in any way, and is taken directly from the game to show you exactly what I see in the game.  The only editing done is converting the .PNG file to .JPEG.

***IMPORTANT***    Also, please know that my pictures are COMPRESSED, and are NOT RESIZED! When you resize a picture, a ton of the image's quality is lost, and is shrunk to comply with ST's picture size limits.  Compressing the image retains the quality, but looks terrible when squeezed to comply with site limits.

But, I have found a loophole in this problem.  Each compressed picture displayed will be linked to the actual uncompressed, true image.  All you have to do to view the image in its FULL RESOLUTION (1440x900) is to simply click on the compressed image displayed in this city journal (800x500).  The reason that the images are not 800x600 is because I present my pictures in widescreen (16:10 aspect ratio), making the image much more appealing for the human eye's stereoscopic vision.

If you have any questions or comments about how I display my images, feel free to post a reply.

Man haljackey, your cities are way more realistic than mine. Mine are planned like big evil cities with no "pretty" designs. Alson, you cities seem greener.

Now, who likes a good story about a bridge?

Nice job on the development. I like the peninsula and the futuristic power plant.

So many comments about the city, so little time!

First, that is one long bridge, it must take commuters forever to get across it.

Second, is it safe to have a power plant and reactor in the middle of a city like that?

    Waiting for more!44.gif

    Replies:

bbfan02: Hey, thanks a lot!  That hotel was similar to the one in Dubai, just something cool I downloaded.

Smarty218:  Thanks!  Why does it look random?  Its a dense city, so it makes sense to build on water (similar to Tokyo?)

thatmonkeysim: Nice to see you drop by!  It is dense.  The traffic is heavy in some areas because of all the density.  The next update will feature a traffic query to let you know how much traffic is traveling which way.

Godzillaman:  LOL, its supposed to be an addition to the power plant, but interesting comment.

Nemesis666:  Thanks.  In fact, The Greater Terran Region was just added to the The Sim City - City Journal Index. under "Realism".  I never thought it was THAT green, but I guess it is now that I am looking at it.  Thanks for commenting!

hamish:  Thanks, glad you like the building in the water!

mightygoose:  Sure, a traffic query will be coming up in the next update just for you!  Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

dfnva: Thanks!  Was it mighty enough for you?

edmonton_stinks:  LOL, I remember that!  From Family Guy, right?  In the bar?

-Anyways, I'm glad you enjoyed the update!

kj3400:  LOL!  You made it this time!

    1.  It does take a long time, and it is also quite busy.

    2.  Sure, why not?  Its not going to blow up, and the residents don't seem to mind it.

    Update time!

This update will showcase the infrastructure in Mighty Mouth, as well as showing you the government buildings, which is the centre for bureaucracy in the Greater Terran Region.  Some extras are also included. I hope you enjoy it!

So the Navy is interested in your city? Maybe they'll build a base (lol)!

Another integration of public tranportation and thoroughfares that I can only wish my RL city had.

As for the ferry race, do you know who won?

Can't wait to see how many people actually use the roads!

    That would be Buzz Killington.

All right, time for the big ferry regatta! I've got $40 riding on #6.

Nice job on the city hall. It looks really modern. I also love that train station.

Whoa, traffic! That's pretty great that all those people actually take public transit instead of driving everywhere. That's quite an eco-conscious city, what with that and the total lack of dirty industry. Go Mighty Mouth!
