    RESPONSES

Yeah_Right: Thanks, yes, got the farms working and I'm using a Modd the balances what farms appear so I don't get all those Pedriana Plants farms, unfortunately now they are popping up with alarming frequency, so I may switch to a KILL Pedriana Plants modd.

WillG_75: Thanks, I'm not the greatest rural designer, but I really want to emphasize development surrounding the city.

suplado!: Thanks, it has been turning out pretty well, hope it keeps going well.

GreekMan: Thanks for popping starting page 2!  Hopefully you've checked back and seen the update!

Everyone else, thanks for staying in tune, keep on posting, criticizing, and suggesting!

    RESPONSES

suplado!: Thanks.  Which rural town?  Anyways, I'm overwhelmed by the praise for my rural areas.  I don't think they're special, but maybe that is what farmland needs to be.

Mike the Mayor: Yep, I'm going to try to include before and after pics whenever I change something that has been in place for a while, ESPECIALLY when I introduce freeways 4.gif!!!

Mikeaut1: Thanks for the realism thumbs up.  That is always my goal!!!  I'm surprised by all the rural praise, thanks!

bbfan02: Thanks, I love to name the streets, makes it that much more realistic.  I grew up drawing maps of imaginary cities always naming streets.  I've also begun creating a google-style map of this region complete with street names, highway designations, parks, and maybe even pinpointing schools, churches, and points of interest.  It is going to be really cool!!!

jacqulina: Thanks for always checking in and providing positive support.  I was a little bummed when you didn't comment after Update 3, but I was probably just a little impatient.

cleaner475: Thanks, the rural bits aren't the funnest thing to do and can get boring, but I'm trying to populate in and around my main city with farms and smaller communities.

anarchy0029: Yep, the farmland is surprising me!  I'm populating main Sessquenna right now, so there will be some more city updates coming up.

    GreekMan: Thanks

My plugins folder is quickly becoming populated as my main city expands.  Unfortunately I'm having dependency issues, urgh, especially with the one flag many nations thing, yikes.  It is also a huge hassle trying to figure out what props and textures I need for certain things, especially when names don't match up or when certain things have been replaced or placed in packs, oye!!!

Well I'm populating Sessquenna, and creating Google-style maps of the area.  I might include a small section of the map in the next update.  Thanks for the support!!!

That looks like a lovely little town, but I bet the people near the construction site have to put up with a lot of noise, hehe. Anyways great work!

Urgh, my Microsoft Picture It! is messing with my google map...for some odd reason I put an image into it and it garbles it, the google gray background becomes red tinted, and other such things, wierd...but I may be experimenting with other types of maps, we'll see.  My city is expanding rapidly, and I'm really looking forward to getting another update up soon.

    Sessquenna UPDATE 5

Here is an attempt at a map in the RAND McNALLY street guide style.  This is the best image quality I could get.  I also have a Google map, but I think I want to go with something different that I haven't seen in any other journal.  The city is expanding rapidly boasting a population of about 60,000.  Sessquenna has created a new bus system to help alleviate the traffic problems of the growing city.

Sessquenna Map (ROUGH DRAFT) -  Still trying to figure out how to represent the rails, it is very time consuming to do it.

    Map

Sessquenna Transit Authority (Middle Office Building)

First bus stop (N Union Blvd - E 3rd St)

Wow, nice! I like the realism of the rural areas and such. I really like the map and the naming/numbering of your roads. I'd like seeing a region view to see how your roadways come together.

Keep up the good work and I'll look forward to more!
