Nicely done The_Hutt and art128. I really like yours The_Hutt due to the way you've only used necessary land (e.g. let those farms grow around it).

Here's a little one I've been working on (not completely finished, and the city needs some terraforming, hence the grid) called Mesa-Downtown Airport for my city, Great Falls:

Hello. This is my airport. I call it Victoria Internation. Code VAT. This airport operates much like LaGuardia, but I got the idea from Newark Liberty. the Airport is close to water with a highway next to it. My airport has 5 commercial terminals for regional, national and international flights. A domestic terminal for private livery and DHL cargo.

As said before, this airport is like LaGuardia and is like a conduct for my reigon's 2 larger airports that I am currently working.

It carries Delta, United, Westjet, Continental, and American Arlines

The domestic runway for private livery. Sunken Airport thruway next to it. City behind it

Domestic terminal entrance

Victoria also has terminal 1 dedicated to international flights

Termian 5 with commerical airlines and DHL

The roads and transit in Victoria. Light rail is the Air tram connecting to downtown. Regional rail lines. Hotels parking and busses

These are excellent! I've decided to go back and try to build my airport, because it's been holding my largest city back, hence holding back my CJ. I'm still not sure how to do my runways, but looking at these awesome examples and further research of airports will hopefully help me out. Keep up the incredible work! Hopefully my airport and subsequent others will be as eye-popping.

Well this is my airport project. It's the Rein Sofie Aèroport Internationel (Queen Sofie International Airport  AKA  Nacier & Sochi INTL Airport)

The RSAI has a total of 64 gates and 9 terminals which  makes it the biggest Airport in Tiran (since 2008, proposed Chiclana INTL will suppress RSAI after it's completion in 2012 with total of over 90 gates and 10 terminals)

So I have been thinking of adding 3 runways to the airport, what do you think? This is my first "real" airport so all help is more than welcome!

And I was also going to ask if somebody who actually knows how to use BAT GMAX w/e, could help me greate my own airline because I'm using United as my national airline atm.

i think that the runways are too far from the terminals and the concourses of your airport are a lilltle too small! Otherwise, your aiport is very good!

Well.. I decided to demolish the whole airport and start a new one...

The R.S.A.I has a total of 61 gates and 12 terminals which makes it the biggest Airport in Tiran.

The Airport is situated in the central of Nacier, which is a part of 'Sochi Exterio'.

I'm going to start my new CJ maybe on this week or next, because I still have allot of building to do.

Soo... What do you think.? Is this better than the old one...?

I would say to have one large runway across the bottem of the airport land, a small runway across the left most side of the airport land, and a large runway to the right of the small one.

The french style buildings near and around the airport are owned by the Aviation Ministry and they are used as office space, they were supposed to be demolished but the Ministry of Culture and the city of Nacier (Sochi) didin't allow the demolition.

Not necissaraly. Some airports may have been built before the city actualy developed. Some however may have been put in later for corperate operations and convenience for general aviation. To name a few, there are: McCarren International, Toronto City Center, Dallas Love Field, Boeing Field, Dubai International, Macau, and Tokyo Hanada.

My apologies, I posted here and didn't stop to answer questions.

I had to do A LOT of loting in order to make this work. 100% is ploped, most of which is 1x1 pieces. I would have BATed some, but I cant get anything to look... like anything... The actual buildings and props came from SNM lots from SC4D and one or two building props from somewhere in my plugins folder. I had to make all (or most ) of the lots that weren't those from the origional SNM download, on top of all the vehicle's and aircraft's lots.

Can someone tell me where you got the 737 and 767 planes and then tell me how to add them to the game. I tried using BAT lot editor but it kept saying failed to open sc4.lot file. Also once you save it how do u get it into the game

KEESLER AFB

at Biloxi, Mississippi

 

Keesler AFB is my first attempt at making an airport.  This is a region I am working on beside Houston that I’m doing.  I thought I would get in a little practice before trying to make the really huge  Bush Interconctinetal Airport in Hou.

 

Keesler is a small base but has a very long air strip, which also is placed at an angle.  I will be happy once someone gets the diagonal strips going, that will be great.

 

What do you guys think?  See anything I need to tidy up on?  I appreciate any input.

 

I’ve taken a few liberties with this airport and made it somewhat commercial, with two little working terminals. Most of the planes you see are for parking. 

 

Does anyone know where I might be able to get military planes similar to the ones that are placed here?
