I've been trying to replicate KATL for a while, so far i have the terminals and runways done, but the taxiways and gates are a pain!

o ya i just looked at the atlanta airport on google maps the taxi ways going from run way to run way are crazy im not gonna replicate that part im just gonna have the taxi ways on the out side and 1 or 2 going accross the runways. btw do u have the subway system underneath im not gonna bother with that part either

This my airport it is a very small one because it is a municipal airport in the city. I will post the international airport as soon as I can in Hypertrophy

Velamuri Municipal Airport it only holds private jets and very small charters.

Time to show one new of mine, Don Meang Int. Airport:

The airport itself is quite small and only has got a short runway (max B767). The terminal is very small with some check in counters and one baggage claim. The gates themselves are reachable by foot or by bus. The airport has got a total of 4 gates (all with jetways). So here is the control tower:

This small building is the terminal. By getting to small it can be expanded until reaching the gates:

Feliwi: Wow!!!  That must be one of the most creative airports I have ever seen!  Jetways connected to small buildings you can reach by bus or foot--I like that idea!

Time for another edition of airports you couldn't possibly get lost in ;-)

Here we have Island's End airport, built ind 1941 for the US Navy but a civilian facility since 1961.

This is the General Aviation Terminal, originally the Base Operations Building. It was turned into the airport's first terminal building in 1961 and reverted to it's current role in 1980.

That year the present terminal opened, able to handle 100.000 passengers per year. It currently hosts flights to Vancouver, Victoria, as well as Seattle, WA. As the building is slowly approaching its capacity limit, plans are in the drawer to build a new terminal, able to handle up to 500.000 passengers.

anyone ever come across any car rental lots for airports? every airport has some of these in real life... but I never see any in SC4.

This may sound like a stupid question but do the RIMP airport Pieces act as an airport for the city or is it just for good looks?? I want to build a custon airport but i want it to be functional and not just something that looks pretty!

it's just for looks...you can use the props and textures to redo the in-game airports in lot editor...it's what i've done so i have realistic airports...i'm still working on them, but i'll probably stop since the Aircraft Consortium over at SC4Devotion is doing a project like that with all new pieces that should release in just under 2 months...

Very nice ryannayr140. The planes are too close to the taxiway and the highway network isn't very realistic, but it still looks nice. Also, you need to resize your pictures to 800x600

If u look at each highway it is going N/S or E/W if there is a more realistic way to combine 2 highways and an airport highway then knock urself out
