Lookin' good, are you making the entire Suncor Energy Centre as one building or just make them individually?

Very nice job indeed! I've taken a look at most of your BATs, and I really liked them a lot! 4.gif

However, one thing that caught my attention was that scale-wise they always tend to be slightly on the smallish side... not too small, but towards the lower end of the scale spectrum. Your latest creation looks like the storeys might be very low, but then again it's not an in-game shot, so it's hard to tell. Just wondering...

Scotty, Love your stuff, your BAT work is exceptional. they look awsome in my city.

got a couple of suggestions for you if your interested,

1: Wachovia Financial Center in Miami Florida
2: Bank Of America in Miami Florida

http://www.skyscraperpicture.com/miami.htm

the second and third buildings on this web page.

the reason i put the request here instead of the requested BATs thread is because you are so good at recreating real life buildings.

also, a question? why no residentials? just curious.

anyhows, thanks heaps for the great BATs, keep up the good work.

Scotty how are your buildings doing? The last ones you updated are awesome! we really can't wait for the others!!

seattlesonics4life is right! Miami is one of the richest cities in the world in terms of skyscrapers and thereare almost no landmaks from this beautiful city!! I'm sure you are the best person for this(no pressure of course), but it will be great!!

Sorry to maintain a dead thread, but this is probably my favourite along with the BSP thread. There are SO many unrealeased gems on here I'd love to have seen in my Cities. I might have a few questions on textures of some of the buildings so if Scotty comes back I can ask him.

Thanks for the kind words everyone its good to be back

Im currently in the process of transferring all my old models of my old laptop to my new one so some may be finished (or not)

I am waiting on a new copy of SC4 so i cant finish anything till i get that sorted

The building is some midrise on queen st in Auckland as Guttercub said (although calling it a masterpiece may be a stretch :D)

    data1.jpg

some of textures need tweaking (mostly the roof and base)

Ha, maybe not a masterpiece elsewhere..but it's one of Queen Streets better buildings (not saying much though). Keep it up, I'm liking it..the steel on the actual building is quite interesting so be good to see how it turns out. As mentioned whenever anybody does a midrise, the game is in dire need of such buildings.

I might suggest adding some contrast to the building. Right now it looks very "flat" to me because all the materials are very similar to each other in tone. You might try to add some pop to the building by (gently) playing with contrast and saturation. (For example, at first glance I'd say the windows probably need to be darker overall.)

    Looking good overall though! :)

That building was supposed to be something simple to get myself reaqainted with 3dsmax

i remembered more than i thought i would so i jumped in and tried something harder

you may remember i tried this 2 or so years ago in gmax

Like it, looks great so far and Perth deserves to be repped a bit more in SC4, looking forward to seeing the glass.

Out of interest, do you still have your previous Max models.

    Keep it up

Heck yes, I remember that one, although it seems like ages ago. :golly: I must confess that I haven't looked at the original to check just how accurate your recreation is, but either way I like the geometry of that building. There's so much going on...
