MEMORANDUM FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER FLUFFY

We thank all of our customers for their holiday orders. We are delighted to have the most successful holiday season ever! The unprecedented popularity of Busscastle Fine Chocolates has, unfortunately, reduced inventory of the raw materials we need to make the fine confections you require. To ensure availability for as many customers as possible, we are now limiting orders to 5 total boxes. Thank you for your understanding. And, thank you for your continued support of Busscastle Fine Chocolates. We appreciate your business and will continue to strive for perfection in chocolate form.

On behalf of the staff of Busscastle Fine Chocolates, thank you and have a wonderful holiday season,

    Fluffy, Customer Service Manager

well, those chocolates were for my family, but when I got them I just couldnt resist eating them. They were so good! lol

Regarding that one question, I say not only the commercialists get money, but also all the lawyers and such because they get to solve all the "shot in store lines" cases.

Hmm... I'm saying commercial and technological boom. I'm sure the Schulmanians were curious what Fed-Ex was when they flew in to pick up the packages...

Winston Churchill is generall credited for saying something to the effect of: "People sleep soundly in their beds because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf". That about sums up my life, besides the "rough men" part.

Seeing that your chocolate supply has run low, new burgundy would like to donate 5 tonnes (10,000 lbs), in order for Buscastle to keep up production, as long as Buscastle opens an importing station in our country. They will be able to import up to C3,000,000 shillings ($5,400,000) of new burgundian raw chocolate (the south is sub tropical), carmel, and various grown in New Burgundy.

    Deal...

    or No Deal?

    patriots_1228       Actually, a by-product of that!

raul39      Lawyers!? Schulmania doesn't have any yet. Anyone who breaks the law is scratched by a legion of wet cats and then sent on their way. So far, the system has worked!

Jacqulina    The answer is coming soon!

Meinhosen     Actually, they did not use Fed Ex. Since they have not discovered the outside world yet, the chocolates were brought to Fluffy, the Customer Service Manager, who used secret feline technology and advanced feline knowledge to transport the chocolates to their intended destinations!

Asturianu        Hmm, riches from monkeys.... An interesting thought! The Junior Schulmanator, also known as "Monkey Boy" is better known for consuming my riches instead of building them!

Simfan34      Unfortunately, the Schulminions are unaware of the outside world still. All they know is the Customer Service Manager Fluffy has increased production dramatically but they don't see crates of candy around. It must be somewhere! There is some buzz about where it all went- but no one seems to know for sure...

    I know!! I know!!!

The people of Schulmania danced around on the market squares because they were happy about the best chocolate production ever! and then they danced around some more...and more

and then they changed the name "schulemania' into chocomania and then they danced some more, running and screaming becouse the actually didn't want to change the name in to chocomania and then they changed it back into schulmania and then they danced so hard because they were so happy.......... that they discoverd electricity?

or maby just an economic boom?

    Schulminion Monetary Union

A recent surge in commerce has led to an increased need for a unified currency. Up to this point, each town with metal resources has created its own money.

A sample of the random coinage issues of the realm:

    oldgoldqt5.jpg
    A golden whisker from Wirt

    oldsilverqf0.jpg
A pair of silver busses from Wanda (L) and Busscastle ®

    oldsilver2xo4.jpg
    A silver meow from Baba

The additional revenue created from the Trixie Festival and holiday spending created banking chaos as each town’s monetary system was independent and frequent, confusing exchanges were required when traveling from town to town. Here’s a sample of some currency conversions from that era.

[Issuing Authority Monetary System Currency Unit Value
    Busscastle 25 pyys=1 buss 1 buss= 23.015 g silver
    Wirt 12 pyys= 1 buss, 5 busses=1 golden whisker 1 golden whisker= 6.789 g gold
    Stell 24 stella=1 buss, 6 busses=1 lambert 1 lambert= 7.316 g gold
    Baba 12 bowers=1 meow, 5 meows= 1 babaroo 1 babaroo= 5.287 g gold
    Gran Maru 3 balenas=1 beta, 6 betas=1 y, 12 y=1 granmaru supreme 1 granmaru supreme= 67.231 g silver

As one can imagine from the sample above, many calculations and precise scales were needed for inter-city transactions. Financial records from the year ending with the inaugural Trixie Festival and holiday sell-a-bration indicated a 163% increase in the money supply and a 243% increase in commerce. The difficulty of the large amounts of money changing hands, this commerce required led banking and retail interests to join with consumers in calling for a nationalized currency system. The government, while in its regular session at Wirtyplace, elected to study the situation and have a committee deliver a full report. Some legislators were concerned about revoking the minting right from towns. Resistance was expected.  The committee report recommended a centralized monetary system with a single issuing authority.

The Supreme Wirdle was concerned that towns would resent having their minting rights pass to a central authority. She and her council created a compromise plan which would serve to unify currency while preserving local monetary autonomy. This plan would be known as the Schulminion Monetary Union, or SMU. The chief provisions of the SMU require each issuing entity to use a common currency unit, the Schulmoneta. The schulmoneta would be divided into 100 purrs. Each denomination would be minted to common specifications: the 1 and 5 purr of bronze, the 10-50 purr in silver and the schulmoneta in gold. The weight and diameter of each denomination would be constant across the SMU. The designs of the coins would be decided upon by the issuing entity, as long as the name of the issuer and the denomination appeared on each coin. This common currency idea was received to universal acclaim and plans were implemented to phase in the new currency over the next year.
