Wow, you really like The Simpson's, eh? Have you seen the movie? What's your favorite episode?

(Personally, I like Family Guy more, but there's nothing like that classic fat yellow guy that says "Doh!" all the time.)

Also, nice work with the coins!

Best,

-Haljackey

    Devonshire: Excursions from Schulmericho

Schulmericho, the walled city, is the largest city in Devonshire. Originally, it was to be the largest city in the nation. It has served as a catalyst from growth in the east and now has a few neighbors which can be called suburbs. No other city has suburbs in Schulmania. That is mainly because of geography. But, here, Schulmericho was built compactly in a large area. Couple this compactness with the booming local economy and you have the recipe for new neighboring towns. Three towns have grown in the space between Schulmericho and the Lake George area. Two hug the coast and one is adjacent to Schulmericho itself. Lets’ begin our excursion from Schulmericho with a look around town.

    xc1.jpg
It is still a bit odd to see walls around a Schulminion town, isn’t it?

    xc2.jpg
It is easy to see how crowded and successful Schulmericho has become.

    xc3.jpg

    xc4.jpg
Narrow Style homes and shops lead to the highest population density in Schulmania.

    xc5.jpg
Schulmericho is poised for explosive growth…

    xc6.jpg
But, how do you grow when you are contained by walls?

    xc7.jpg
Up to a point, you can grow upward. But, after a while,…

    xc8.jpg
a certain density level is reached where new land becomes vital for future growth.

So, out the city gates we go in search of the new growth in the greater Schulmericho area. First up, the adjacent town of Schulmericho Farms. This agricultural area helps support the population of Schulmericho and other eastern areas, including New Atkinos.

    d00.jpg
A wide view of Schulmericho Farms. These fields provide crops for thousands of hungry Schulminions.

    d2.jpg
The agricultural community gathers here at quaint Amber Fields Community Church for services.

    d3.jpg

    d8.jpg
An interesting juxtaposition, is it not, of dense Schulmericho within its walls and this expansive agricultural area just beyond?

    d5.jpg
Farmer X. P. Lodingsims has very productive fields.

Now, to the new port servicing south Devonshire. Port Eastway was named because it is the new port serving the eastern part of the World Ocean. Of course, since the discovery of the Salt Ocean farther east, the name does seem to be a bit of an anachronism.

    b1.jpg
The port which gives the town its name. Many buildings are built in the same Lake Style as those found in Lake George.

    b5.jpg
The sprawling town has an odd mix of commerce by the port and residential/agricultural spread out to the north and east.

The town of Lakeshore is located between the eastern shore of the World Ocean and Lake George. Hence, the name of the town. Though connected to Darkel by the Sea and George’s Crossroads, the town has an identity all its own.

    a5.jpg
Lakeshore does not look like any other Devonshire town.

    a2.jpg
Again, a fairly odd blend of buildings.

    a6.jpg
A wider view of Lakeshore and its environs.

Now, let’s head back to the big city and enjoy a nice meal in Schulmericho.

Dinner at the City Gate Bistro… my treat!

Now we're talking! Nice combination of Vanderaap's buildings with other ones in Schulmericho. But with all of the development, pretty soon it will have to start growing elseware. At least for now, we can all just enjoy how nice the city currently looks. Thanks for dinner, but now I'm really stuffed!

Now, I enjoyed the tour very much... I love Schulmericho, the architecture style reminds me a lot of my hometown during the Middle Ages (not that I was born then... lol), laced up by the city walls. In fact, parts of that wall still exist.

    Great update!

Joetropian1 I am not sure what Homer gets paid - probably a keg of duff and some donuts with sprinkles is all...

Haljackey The Simpsons is one of my regular shows. My favorite would probably be the one where Homer was accused of harassment... or perhaps the one where Bart had the fake driver license. Homer is awesome, but my favorites are Mr Burns and Nelson. My favorite all time segment is this one...

Smarty218 But, there's still the South Wirdleonia updates to come... can you hold out?

    Leech10 7 of 9 Borgs would agree!

bbfan02 The cat in question is supermodel Meowza Purrfecto, now on this month's cover of Feline Fashion magazine, on sale in stores now.

    PhatHead D'oh-nuts?! Lol!

Benedict I am glad you like it. I had another one but the embed link would not work. It was funny - another BK one.

Leech10 Well, logically, it would. But no one ever said something bad would happen outside of Schulmericho.

John94538 Thanks! Glad you like it.

    Hester In which town?

ky72x I am glad you enjoyed dinner. Still got room for dessert?

Bakercity Thanks! You are welcome to come by anytime. You joining me for dinner at the bistro?

bbfan02 Thanks! It's the most sprawling part of Schulmania yet!

anarchy0029 Thanks! I am glad you enjoyed it. More good stuff is coming up soon.

PhilsCafe Cool! I was hoping that it would look sort of authentic. I have to use my imagination... nothing around here was built before 1974 I think!

Jacqulina A pleasure, J! Not as great as PF2 rural areas, but I am working on it!

Smarty218 Yessssss! Just what I was hoping for! Thanx!

gabry85 They have some fine cuisine there. Remember, it is not only the home of the 30 slice pizza but also the home of the ice bucket (a gallon bucket of ice cream with unlimited toppings... serves one)!

Benedict Thanks! The next update is from the teaser - a new expansion into South Wirdleonia.

Shingure Thanks for stopping by. I actually grew a majority of the buildings. A few were plopped when the variety was not there and I started getting w2w repeats. Just the majority are au naturel!

fledder200 Glad you do! I was hoping you would like it.

NMUSpidey I got paid, so dinner is on me. The life of a lottery winner is a good one. (It was a $1 ticket, so order an individual French fry and a water).

Hester OK, 2 fries. And a water with 2 straws...

Hmmm, looks like Schulmania can't fry the French right now, is there a potato famine? And we're missing some straws, did they fell down from the berries?

"No excuse, 'tis da last straw! We Want Our Fries! We Want Them NOW!!!" 3.gif

That old town you got going there is great! I love the use of Ped Mails to have areas where your Sims can only walk it makes it not only seem more real but it's nice to see paths of bustling Sims trading and talking with each other (it's what I imagine anyway). Normally I don't got for these old style cities/towns but you do them so well and realsticly that I would be foolish not to like this.

    Great work as always
