WELCOME TO PAGE 233! 44.gif

Those are cool license plates... thanks for making that. I must agree that's a massive catnip farm, though it looks like it's needed to keep up with demand.

The Admiral is looking very military...sharp, focused and seems to show great purpose. I believe her. This is a great money making opportunity for the realm.

Bruce, You have just hit my weakness with those license plates. You used the 1989 version of Wisconsin plates which is my favorite version. Please tell the admiral she is cool. JKB

    South Wirdleonia: Fields of Gold

The village of Castello di Carmelcciase is the most southwestern settlement in all of Schulmania. For now, anyway. We have explored the summit of the mountain and now will examine the productive fields which lie beyond. The fertile plains spread out in every direction - providing ample hunting grounds for the succulent large game expeditions now being coordinated by the Bureau of Feline Affairs. Meat production has soared in Schulmania - exotic meats now appear on every cat's table. These meats are accompanied by a wide array of agricultural products, many of which are produced right here in South Wirdleonia.

    farm1btu7.jpg

To the west of the citadel, down the wooded slopes, lies one of the larger plantations.

    farm1aef1.jpg

The farm provides crops and ornamental flowers. The flowers also help generate honey.

    farm2atd7.jpg

This farm is near where one of the springs provides water for the area. The aqueduct diverts much of the water, but plenty is left behind for crops here.

Let's stroll about and see more of the farms and fields around the village.

    path1wl2.jpg

    path2bh1.jpg

Let's see what's on the other side of town...

    farm3amh4.jpg

    farm3bts2.jpg

Here, at Helsingfors Farms, not only are fine crops produced, but also the dairy cows provide the world's only self grating cheese.

    farm4bgh0.jpg

    farm2awl3.jpg

This farm is sandwiched between two main trails, leading to the other village.

Expansive fields fan out from the ring of farms around the citadel. Beyond them, open grasslands which support the tasty animals which fill the bowls of cats everywhere.

    field1bto2.jpg

    field1cho8.jpg

Anyone care for a bottle of Chianti? Perhaps a glass of Wirdleonian Merlot?

    field3ayx9.jpg

Let's see what else is growing...

    field4aci3.jpg

    Down the hill we go...

    field4bif4.jpg

    ...where we stop, nobody knows...

    path3qq9.jpg

    I think I got lost.

    path6lz9.jpg

    Where am I?

    path7qm5.jpg

    Am I here?

    field5act6.jpg

No, I am here! It's the Smarty Model Farm & Agricultural College, the key to success in this farming village. Everyone who's anyone learns from the experts here.

Having explored the hilltop village of Castello di Carmelcciase, we are now ready to head down the trail to the companion town of Campo di Carmelcciase.

That's quite a hike up the mountain! But I bet that great views await anyone who travels along that nice trail. It seems that a few trees have managed to grow right on the trails, too. 3.gif

I think one of my favorite things is your use of the pathways with the rock barriers/walls. They contribute greatly to the look and feel of your towns.

Are those Roman-style aquaducts in your last picture?

Joetropian1 Destroyed by fires from above? Sounds like a Nostradamus prediction!

wir3d Surprisingly, not long. Actually, the content for the update in question was made about 2 months ago. My towns are compact so I show them with detail. I have like 5 updates out of this area, which is in actuality only a few blocks long. I use perspectives to make them seem larger.

    Jacqulina Thanks, J! You rock!

gabry85 Homer's work? Reminds me of...

    hodyssey.jpg

    DOH!

    Joetropian1 1800s... that may take a while!

Shingure Glad you liked the update. You are welcome in Carmelcciase anytime!

    Leech10 Wildcat? We'll hafta check.

suplado! Thanks! More is on the way!

Kiwi n Grapes Thanks! And, welcome to Schulmania!

Abcvs Practice those clicking reflexes! The time draws nigh!

patriots_1228 Glad to be of service!

    Hester Muchas gracias!

Mike the Mayor Thanks - always glad to have you pop into Schulmania.

Benedict Thanks. More region views are to come.

ky72x You are welcome. And you are right, California's plate is boring. It needs a picture of some sort. And I find the random jumble of letters and numbers to be oddly disturbing. I like the ABC-123 type better (ours is ABC-1234, but that's OK too).

PhatHead Ummm, the car is cool, but have you seen the insurance bill yet??!! Lol 3.gif

    gabry85 There's still time!

    Leech10 Glad you like them.

jjune4991 It may be a small developed area but I have over 20 towns squished into it - lots of fodder for updates! Lol.

Smarty218 The Admiral is glad you like her field. She's trying to stay away... trying.... Trying!

Manticorefan The bounty of the land will soon be available at pet stores everywhere. Admiral's Select deluxe gourmet organic catnip. Get some today!

ky72x lol! The Admiral could consume most of that herself!

bbfan02 Let's just hope she doesn't consume her profits!

Joetropian1 Joe, my friend, the Admiral is ALWAYS hungry!

    Leech10 Muchas gracias!

UltraGIR XL Thanks - and glad to see you back again!

Jacqulina Thanks, J. Glad you liked it.

lmcm1990 Thanks. More of the town is in the next update. Glad to see you back in Schulmania again.

    Dfnva Thanks!<

Aw, license plates! How cute! I just wish Ontario's plate wasn't so boring... Kentucky's a couple of years ago was a lot better. Oh well, looks cute. 4.gif

Nice farms too. They really look good with the little dirt walking paths. It all comes together quite well. 9.gif

Wow, impressive realism, the village looks a perfect Tuscan village recreation! It had to be a challenge to build on those steep hills, but you made it greatly! Rock on, Schulmy! 4.gif

It's so eyecandy that I want to eat it! With a nice Chianti and some fava beans... 11.gif -err, I mean just a nip of Chianti... yessir, just a little nip... 19.gif

Self-grating cheese seems good for the well-known feline counterpart; btw, what kind of "exotic meats" do they serve in Carmelcciase? Mouse? Goldfish? Canary? Chili con carne? 2.gif
