Yes I knew that. I know there are supposed to be spaceports. Since we already have a shuttle prop. All we have to do is make a termail building with gates , launchers, and a control tower. Then we got our selves a spaceport. But we need an amamation of a space-shuttle taking off from ground.

Right--A Small Shuttle Launching Pad (Landing Strip), then General Shuttle Station (Muncipal Airport), then Large Communications Shuttle Pad (International Airport), then the Immigration Center, then the Space Exploration & Solar System Travel Launching Pads (Space Port). The Immigration Boost Residential & Commercial Demand, and Demand Caps. If you can somehow take out the "seaports" tab that would be good. 2.gif thanks for listening.

Well there might some use for the seaport. Since Mars water is ice. We could create a hover ship to transport people and goods. If you noticed the ice is water and able to build bridges above it. So there might be some use to the seaport tab and the ice in genral.

Well as of now I'm designing the first Simmars spaceport / airport. But it is taking too long to export into the plugin manger.

Yeh there are a couple of us working on this but the main coordinator hasnt been too active lately 42.gif. Ill be uploading any of my SimMars bats to the STEX to bypass users the wait for Beta 3 haha.

Forget it i'm not uploading the airport. There is no way and I even rezised it to a smaller size. I'm sorry but it has problems. Someone else can make one. I'm now making a TV station.

Create a workshop thread and then post the exact problem so me and others can try and help you fix it. Try looking in the troubleshooting thread for gmax as well.

Why not try modelling it in several smaller parts? How big is it anyway?

Another hint: Dont model the runway, taxiways etc. In photoshop make textures that can be used as overlays in the lot editor. <-thats probably why its too big to export.

the size is about 11x20 includes everything. But anyways i'm not doing the Simmars project anymore because I want to contiue my CJ because I havn't update in a while.

Sure, zangle06. The current beta does not have train, subway, or airport. The pieces are in there to build with but there are no stations yet. I built my own and they work just fine. If you are familiar with BATing, make your own stations - and post pictures in the SimMars Transit thread so we can all see them. Your design might be chosen as the official one for the next beta release.

We aren't setting any timetable on this one, yet. If I had to guess, I would say beta3 by Easter, but it might be a lot sooner if things go well. Progress depends on participation and right now there aren't many of us working on it. We will however be releasing supplements to the existing beta as various aspects of the project develop; this should greatly enhance the gameplay experience by increasing the variety of lots and filling in some of the holes in the beta2 release.

If you're interested in helping out but don't feel up to BATing, then play the beta2 for a little while and let us know what you think. It's very easy to install and equally easy to remove and we could use the input.

Please remember for all future questions: This project is like all NAM releases; It will be released when it is finished i.e. There is no set date or timeline for release.

Something about SimMars -

We just add what ever we can, so if we could. We would never realese it, and by then it would be to large.

So, absolutely no clue of the next release.

I see that the last post was about 4 months ago. Are people still improving this or has real life gotten in the way. 4.gif

I am amazed by all of the people who have made SIMMARS happen. I want to send out my applause to each and every one of you. I have not DL the Beta 2 yet but i just loaded Simcity back on to my computer to get playing again. I am also going to start to learn how to BAT and Modd and all that fun stuff you guys are doing so i can contribute to this awesome idea. Again, great job with everything. the pictures i have seen are awesome.

    Update on the project progress:

    We are currently compiling the work done over the recent months to integrate them in SimMars in a functional way to be released as an Add-On to Beta-2.

    This includes a wide range of Park & Reward Lots, some new transport BATs (Subway, Rail Station, Rail Freight Station)

    as well as additions to the R-C-I tileset (some of these include incorporations of existing BATs previously released on the STEX by various users).   Furthermore some modding will be included in the Add-On, such new transformed menu icons.
