I've been following you guys since the very beginning when someone asked me what I think of a SimMars project in the chatroom. You guys came far, great job!

    @partho989: when it's done ;-) we are starting the testing of the raw content from today, then there are a few issues regaring installer to be solved after that. beta 3 wont be released before at least August

    Wow I can't believe how far this mod has come so far. I was part of this project when it first started (about 5 years ago!). It's great too see that many of my original mars BAT's are still in the mod!

    If you guys are interested I also have the following BAT's that I have just finished off:

    A Deluxe fire station - to replace the airstrip station in normal SC4 game (will need modding which I can't do)

    A modular container tower (have a growable version of this done)

    diners - already recently released on STEX

    Air defense platform - I released a normal version on the STEX but have made a Simmars version.

    A range of large forklifts, mining trucks and containers to use as props - nearly finished

    I guess you could say that I am finally back on board if you guys want my help with making BAT's then throw me some ideas! I already have some industrial (chemical refinery) stuff on the drawing board as well as some other defence stuff.

    Anyway very impressed with all the work so far..cheers44.gif

    Would be a great pleasure to have you back on board!

    I still have the deluxe firestation waiting, we need to get the automata vehicles created and modded for it before releasing.

    wow! I've been on modding sites for other games and usually they don't stick with an idea for even a month! I've never even seen a five-year-old thread! (still active) My only problem with it is that in beta 2, I think simmars overloads my graphics card and has my whole PC restart. Well, I do have a custom built PC with 5 disk drives for mass installation, maybe it's the game itself, hmmm....

    Try turning your game on softwear mode instead of hardwear, you can find it under graphic options. If it really is the game overloading your graphic card then this will fix the problem.

    I totally love how you added in that old Arco from the old SC. Is it just basically a residential highrise like in the old versions, or is it some commercial/industrial building?

    there is a building megatroid which states that simmars beta 3 is a dependency, has beta three been released?

    @ Jarrod -- Beta 3 will be released soon. You can use the Mergatroid with Beta 2 but it will be missing some props.

    when i get a chance monday i can work on some concepts for cars and stuff.

    But i want to do that after I get my bus finished, would that help with your guys progress if i could hand some concepts to you guys to make into the game?

    i dont know how to mod but i do have some pretty good ideas for this.

    i can't wait, i love this mod so much that i've combined it with the normal maxis stuff, it gives my cities such a cool sci-fi look.

    the pre installed textures arnt very good for vehicles atm.

    All bugs found in Beta 3 Testing have been cleared! Now only need to finish the launcher and installer and then it's ready to go!

    Finally, I might get back to BATing Sci-Fi buildings soon. I figured out how to make night renders now in 3dsmax, so I guess I can pump out more BATs in DarkNight renders.

    Wow, I remember working on the zone colors for beta 2 a few years back. Ah, the memories. Did you ever get anyone to have the zone colors appear in the graph view as well? And were you able to get rid of those pesky pedestrians? 3.gif Anyway, just popped back in to see what all is happening with Simcity. It's nice to see that this mod (and game) is still in progress. Hopefully more iterations will come as well 4.gif.
