Favorite SC4 Music Tracks

I was playing with the actual SC4 music going a couple of days ago and heard a track that I just absolutely loved (normally I play with winamp on). This made me curious and got me thinking about what other people listened to while playing. So, what is your favorite SC4 music track if you even listen to SC4's music? For me it's definetly ElectriCITY. Its fast electronica styled beat just jumped right out at me and I loved the first time I heard it.

I really love all of simcity4 vanilla trucks. Only a couple from the deluxe look interesting to me.

to be honest i dont like any of them.

if i really had to pic id take streetsweeper(extended version of the intro music) just because it seems the most simcity-ish of all of them.

If any, my favourite is... Dang it forgotten the name... It is in Radio/Mayor/Music and it is track SC4m03. I like it because it is urban sounding. I also like SC4m09. I just love the way they variate music with new style and old style together. It's fantastic!

when I'm not listening to my own mp3 collection, I usually listen to the SC3000 music (you can get it from Maxis' web page) which I put in the music folder and just play via SC4 instead of the default music. I like the SC3000 music more.

I like the one with the irregular drums from God-mode. I always hear it when i startup Simcity. I don't hear the original intro soundtrack because i deleted the intro file

Not sure of the name of the track in game but the file is in the mayor folder and called sc4m12.

I like epicenter, and also all of the orchestral songs from RH. There isn't any song that I don't like, though.

I like the simmars songs since they add more to the game...like Maglev,Space Dirt and Untouched.But I like the songs Street Sweeper,Eltricity,Rush Hour and this one god mode song I don't know the name of

just FYI limewire as well as all other P2P and file sharing technology is completely legal. What you do with it is your problem. Although it might be a bit sketchy to say you use Limewire for music...lets just assume he's a fan of indie and techno and move on.....

Anyways, but yeah, i like to listen to my own music instead of the game stuff. Has anyone ever gotten the custom tunes feature to actually work? i ended up having to replace the game music files with my own music while keeping the same filenames then decided thats too much work so now i either have winamp or something playing in the background.

I downloaded the ST to SC3k and SC4RH because I liked it so much, but for me "Sim Broadway" off the SC3k ST is my fav. RH songs are good, but I'd much rather listen to the orchestrated jazz on SC3k. The solo's in Sim Broadway make it what it is.

I also like the SC3k music. Thanks for the download place Skyfire. It'll really help with new music in the game, as other music that I normally listen to doesn't fit in with SC4.

It's not that hard to figure out the names. If you hear a track you like just open up the audio options and preview them all until you figure out which one it is.

I threw the tracks from SC3K into SimCity 4 as well. Out of all of those tracks (exactly 50, I think), the one's I like best are SimBroadway and Central Park Sunday from SC3K, By The Bay and Epi-Center on Mayor Mode, and Terrain on Region/God Mode. And actually, we used a couple of "Region" songs from SimCity 4 once in a play for One-Act and I died to Terrain. So why do I like it so much? Hmmm...

There's so much good stuff in the SC4 soundtrack, it's easier to say what I don't like:

"Bumper to Bumper" makes my teeth grind. The reverb can't hide the MIDI sounds, especially the trumpet stabs. Rush Hour arrangements like "Dig Deep" and "The Morning Commute" only highlight the nunances of a real orchestra. Overall, it seems like something that would have fitted better in SC3K's soundtrack.

Well, I think the in-game music sucks... I usually have iTunes playing in the background. To further enhance musical excperience (I just wanted to say that it sounds so cool ) I have a remote control.
