I thought about this, and am still thinking about it because though I've thought about this, I still have more thinking to do as to stop thinking about it would mean not to think.

Region update. Click links for full size.

Current population is 36.3 million, but I have a few cities ready to grow that should add a few million more to that soon.

Very nice, like how you gave us a transportation map as well.

This is pretty good.  Been to Vancouver a few times but it has been about 20 years since I have been there.  From my memory this looks awesome.

Thanks!  I've actually never been, but it's on my bucket list.

I'll also be the first to say that it probably doesn't much look like Vancouver on the ground haha.  I'm too much of a perfectionist to attempt a legit re-creation, so I basically took Vancouver's planning principals and built from there.

Gotta schedule the next CJ entry of Rota for the next weekend! In the meantime, enjoy the region's progress!

@infamousjbe

It's a great-looking region! (do you have the aerial view version to complete the post?) I can also notice some creative street layouts in-between what I presume to be suburban areas.

In the meantime, gonna add the obligatory interim update between city journal entries!

Interim regional view update prior to 12th CJ entry
850,000 inhabitants and approaching a complete look!

Aerial view--notice how the Cameran River Valley looks so lush with farms!

Starting to run out of settlements to establish, and also running out of flat terrain--that won't stop me from reaching my next population milestone, 1,150,000 inhabitants!

And showing a re-vamped look for the regional map! I'm using one of my all-time favorite mods, the HBS American Transportation View. Unlike the NAM's transportation view mod, this one helps distinguish better the local roads and streets, and provides better contrast with dark zones and bright park areas. Might update it later with proper transportation network labeling. Keep in mind that this one isn't compatible with the Real Highway Mod.

@infamousjbe Really nice!

Thank you so much for the compliments. I try to build as organically as possible. No plopping so far. But I fee like I might want to cherry pic some unique skyscrapers to plop as the central CO DT grows.

Noticed that I forgot to post the city Trouble Cove. Have added it to the og post, and here just for those that have already looked at the others.

(Edit) and I believe I've pretty much fixed my few brown box issues that popped up after the exporting to another laptop.
