Well, here I am once again to review the entire freakin' page...I'll try to do this short-hand:

LP: Love downtown!  Nice variety of commerce.  Watch repetition of residential.  Like the hill. 8.25/10

ilikehotdogsalot: Like the black 'n' whiteness.  Nice brick street and stone sidewalks.  Love the pic! 9/10

LP (again): Nice GLR (melds well with environment).  Love the fountain.  Nice large parking lot.  Seemingly weird place for cycleway (offsetting the roads).  8.5/10

El Burro: Nice green air!  Weird fragmented wall.  Love dingy-colored buildings.  Odd mid/high commercial/residential building sprinkled in.  7.5/10

El Burro (again): Better walls.  Nice landfill placement.  Nice mix of buildings.  8.75/10

Yoman3: Nice use of Blahdy's lots.  Maybe more trees in grass.  8/10

LP (yet again): Nice suburb.  Weird segregation of seasonal and non-seasonal trees.  Love the neighborhood as a whole.  8.25/10 (again...)

Waz_Up_Tiger: Wow!  Just...wow!  Can you say "Baytown, TX?" 9.75/10

Love the pictures so far (as shown by my ratings...).  Keep 'em coming!

Waz_Up_Tiger: That's a cool looking refinery you got there. I agree with LP, I'd also like to know where you got those BAT's. 9.5/10

LP: Nice suburb there, but no rating because you didn't want one. If I'm mistaken, then I'll give you a 9.5/10

Burro: First: 9/10 -1 because the GLR sorta ruins the dirty theme.

Second: 9.5/10 All I would do is maybe add a few more cars and have the landfill filled.

Yoman: I like your use of the tunnels, but not much really going on from an artistic stand point.

LP: 8/10 Very nice use of the trees, Finish it off and hide the menu and I'll give you a 10 4.gif

Waz_Up_Tiger: Nice use of the SOMY's Industry things. 8/10 Maybe a few industry fillers to hide the green grass and a few more cars, Very good though 4.gif

Here's another picture of Monte Simmay in the morning:

Yes, I know the lense flare is a bit blinding but the darn thing wouldn't let me change it :@

    th_12806602222.GIF

LP: i would give this a 10 when its doen but don't over do it, things like the wind farm never seen in done better. you should get the one grass texture so they fit in more, also udi's and menu. 7/10

    tiger-regal_80%20by%2080.jpg

Waz_Up_Tiger: possibly to much repetition on the right, but otherwise gdgd! like the fake logo btw. 7/10

    Untitled-61.jpg

ilikehotdogsalot i think u know wat im gunna say. i dont like that kinda thing tbh. 6/10

    Badass-Cat.jpg

crazychickensc12: very nice i like that tech. i used it before and i love it. 7/10

!! btw we should have a running commentry on all rates and then make an average rate per picture !!

!! then see if it improves!!

No problem LP, i love GLR as well... such a greater alternative to rail... or any other type of mass transit.

    Anywho... rates-

Yoman- I read the background to that image and its nice that your honest about the city and the traffic generators. Plus, you made me download those fantastic fence/grass filler lots by Jeronij and I can't stop using them... hehe, so handy. 9/10

LP- Nice, yet, slightly empty. You could have at least got rid of those 6 bits of road you used for terraforming 3.gif Still, very nice pic, love the autumnal feel, reminds me of the large park in a place I live near. 7.5/10

Waz_Up_Tiger- Ah, I love those SOMY Refinery buildings, they make every industrial area look complete. Only problem is its kinda lifeless, theres no cars and theres a few empty plots of land about that need filled with something. 7.5/10

Ilikehotdogsalot- Awesome skyline, the building in the centre with the red and white spire is one of my very faves that I got off STEX. Minus a whole point though for the use of a lens flare... its a nice touch but the pic would have looked better without it 3.gif 8.5/10

Crazychickensc12- Nice touch to the pic but its not that hard to filter an image in photoshop. I can see behind the filter though that it is quite a magnificent city, well done. 8/10

Righty, time for me to play my ace-

Ah, a simply amazing picture... but I'm not very into heavy photoshoping, I think its just not quite fair to the real art that should get put into planing the city and taking the picture. On that note, I don't edit any of my pictures. 3.gif

aaronperry... please, oh PLEASE never use yellow font again. Its just too hard to read on this white-wash text background. But I do feel that would be a good idea, however it may be a bit chaotic and hard to manage.

And... sorry, no picture... but I am back up to 2gb of ram now, so hopefully something tonite!

LP: I prefer it when you hide the control panel, the development in general is good though, 7/10.

Waz_Up_Tiger: Great oil refinery, very realistic, 9/10.

ilikehotdogsalot: I like the reflection, gives a good effect, if it was a little less bright then it would be great, 8/10.

crazychickensc12: Nice "draw style" image, the development looks good too, 9/10.

El Burro: Excellent, that image gives a good industrial effect, 10/10.

    crazychickensc12: i always loved your downtown, 9/10 4.gif

damn el burro, i'm jealous of your photoshop ninja skills. 10/10.

aaronperry: well, i'm sorry you don't like it, i will do my best to show you things you do like 2.gif

capitol1: i meant for the oil thing to be like thing to get rid of the humidity in the subways since the roads in new york have the little smoke coming from them because of the subways, yeah, i just really like somy's bats 9.gif

Since this seems to be the latest craze I thought I'd through my hat into the ring for the first time. Treat me gently. 3.gif

    ------------------

ilikehotdogsalot: 8/10 I like dense downtown areas. -1 for the refinary tower. Other than that it's lovely.

crazychickensc12: 6/10 Good city. Bad photoshopping. I want to see more of it.

El Burro: 9/10 The photoshoping is excellent but not necessary. That's a bueatiful contrast between indsutrial and residential areas as it is. The playground across the street from the refinary is an extremly nice detail.

    ------------------

And here's my first contribution (not much photoshopping done, but I thought it was nice as it is):

I would post another but i'm spent, lol. Oh, and welcome to page 30!

Emlin- I know the photoshopping isn't nessesary, but I need to practise on something 3.gif  Awesome dock area anyway, could do with some traffic on the roads and a few more ships though. 8/10

    metro.jpg

emilin: very realistic port congrats on grabbing my interest in your work i look forward to seeing more 8/10

    default.gif

ChihliDog: again i dotn really like scraper cities, also menu and puase need to vanish lol

    boredavatatar.JPG

capitol1: abit more development perhaps the houses looks pretty flat. dunno for me personally this image lacks enthusiams, did u work on this image long or was it just a random shot? 6.10

EDIT:  also the rate thing would be great, excel enter names n pic rates then build a graph. and work out average it would take ages from 30 pages i may do it

    EDIT 2:

    pic1ne8.jpg

    pic3pa7.jpg

    pic2gq5.jpg

Well this is complicated bassically, i took your first images, took the first three rates then took the average, the first graph is your first image the thrid your most recent.

not everyone was done obviously sorry. post more n ill do urs!

Please use the "Edit" feature if you would like to add more information but no one has posted after you yet.

emilin: Nice, I agree that it is good as it is, 8/10.

ChihliDog: Great downtown, I recommend you hide the control panel when you take shots, 7/10.

capitol1: Good job, to improve I suggest you develop that empty residential zone, 7/10.

aaronperry: This is a nice idea you are trying, though I am a little confused on how it works as I have not yet posted an image here.

Interesting pic. I like the use of trees to break up the industrial zones. However I think there is a bit too many indentical gas tanks on the left. Good work any way, 8.5/10.

Thank you for the words of wisdom, jj88.  While they were good advice, I removed them to clean out all of the Trixie discussion.

Guys, this thread has had a pretty good history so far.  We had a disparity--to put it mildly--over the Trixies just now.  While it is normal to get excited about the Trixies, we need to make sure that we keep cool about the whole thing.  MrCinatit posted this in the official Trixie thread in the Simtropolis Community forum:

The awards are about having fun, not competing with your fellow Simtropolians.  While it's fun to discuss the Trixies, that sort of discussion should stay in the official thread.  This thread is for discussion of people's pictures.

Staff has decided that if any such outbursts occur, this thread will be locked for some time to allow everyone a moment cool down.  However, an additional note goes along with this; if any member is suspected of trying to instigate an argument, and thereby get the thread locked, that member will be temporarily banned from Simtropolis.

You've probably heard this around the forums, but the best way to avoid any further action being taken is to "Discuss the issues [in this thread, that'd be the pictures], not each other."  Staff sincerely enjoys this thread, and would like to not have to temporarily lock it, but that can only happen if cool heads prevail.
